@god_spawn: sentry has since been down graded. since that invaders story in the 70's namor has been upgraded. namor never was as strong in the stories from the 40's or set in the 40's (as a general rule) as he was in stories from a later era. namor has survived mini- and regular nuke attacks. when a character was created has nothing to do with it since what matters is how the character has since been upgraded and what the current writers are doing with the character. yes, in recent history namor has had his share of embarrassing moments since modern writers generally show him no respect. except for strength, his upgrades have not been as regular since he lost his own magazine in '72. also marvel has a history of giving namor powers only to take them back later.
back in the 80's in the avengers, captain america said that namor well could be the best fighter of the 20th century. you gonna argue with cap? you a commie...a pink-O or somethin'???
namor. namor. check out his stats with hulk here: http://www.leaderslair.com/gammapeople/hulksmashes/hulksmashes.html marvel is very inconsistent with their handling of namor. some times he has electrical powers + the abilities of every form of marine life + can communicate/command/control marine life; other times he can't. some times namor no longer gets dehydrated; other times.... namor's skin is now said to be flame proof. let's see how long they keep that. namor has taken nova level blasts from johnny storm and sunfire. namor has survived a nuke twice...head on. namor's skin is said to be impervious skin, yet marvel forgets that every time he fights wolverine.
