Comics this week and order I rate them 21/8/13

Here is a list off the comics I got this week and what I rate them. I have also reviewed some of these issues in Reviews above or http://www.comicvine.com/profile/johnkmccubbin91/reviews/ if easier. I will state which issues I haven't reviewed.

What'd you think of the Avengers? As I loved it.

Edited by johnkmccubbin91

@broo1232: I loved it, but there was a couple of gripes I had, that lowered it from a 5 to a 4. I am however currently working on a review, so will add more onto that, unless you want more detail here?

@johnkmccubbin91: Nah I'll wait, but thanks for the offer :) (would have done by a review by now, but went on a trip that lasted most of the day, so have been busy, but went to Forbidden Planet.

@broo1232: No problem. Hope you enjoyed the trip, Forbidden Planets always a great place to go.

@broo1232: That's nice to hear. What did you get?

@johnkmccubbin91: Batman the Black Glove (collects Black glove, and Batman and Son)

Deadpool: Dead presidents.

Thor the J. Michael Straczynnski and Olivier Coipel vol 1.

Ultimate Avengers.

@broo1232: That's a fair big book the Black Glove, great stories though. Deadpool Dead Presidents was simply amazing, as was Ultimate Avengers (though not as good as Ultimates), and Thor by JMS was simply phenomenal and with Coipel's art it was also beautiful.

@johnkmccubbin91: I got all of them because they were meant to be good, and you recommended most of them ;) Ultimate Avengers I've read the others (literally in reverse order) and the 1st was going cheap so I got it.

@broo1232: Yeah they are great stories. I would rate all bar maybe Ultimate Avengers, and the Black Glove part 5 star, and rate them 4-4.5 star.

Posted by broo1232

@johnkmccubbin91: I would rate Deadpool 4 or 5 (I have not read the rest), but I suspect your right.

@broo1232: I reviewed that book individually and rated all the issues bar the second last a 5, with the second last being a 4. You may differ, but I've noticed that we usually see eye to eye.

@johnkmccubbin91: I'm leaning towards a 5 due to all the political jokes (Nixon goes to Watergate etc) which made me laugh and the art as well as the serious bits towards the end.

@broo1232: Yeah the humour is amazing, as was Tony Moore's art, shame he only stayed for them six issues.

Posted by broo1232

@johnkmccubbin91: Most artists on that series have only done an arc, or have done 1 issue then come back later for 1 or 2 again.

Posted by johnkmccubbin91

@broo1232: Yeah I know, but Moore has been the best yet.

@johnkmccubbin91: I can't judge the other artists since I haven't seen a full issue of their work, but he seems to be the best.
