I really enjoy the 90s series. I've watched nearly every episode on Netflix, and, although far from perfect, it really captures the characters wonderfully. And they were able to cover so many of the story arcs. I enjoyed the 'Sins of the Fathers' arc a LOT. Kingpin, Daredevil... my children love this series as well.

Wasn't there a rumor circulating at some point that Miles Morales would be heading into the 616 universe?

In addition to this list, I'm hearing good things about the upcoming 'Savage Wolverine' book both drawn and written by Frank Cho.

ASM700 and Avenging 15.1 were great! I can't wait for Superior Spider-Man to come out. For those of you who are still stuck at the Clone Saga or One More Day, it sounds like you stopped reading Spidey a long time ago anyway. Read the books that you like, and dump the ones you don't. Peter Parker's death saddens me, but it also opens the door for a plethora of new stories and adventures for Spider-Man. Some of you guys sound like elderly people who are stuck in their ways. Come on... enjoy comics again.

Maybe I should try watching it again, but I remember hating 'Batman Returns'. And it could have been due to my utter dislike of Danny Devito. I enjoyed him in 'Twins' (with Ahnahld), but I usually can't stand him. So I already had a problem with the actor portraying The Penguin, and then the character was also poorly executed, completely killing this film for me. And I'm a fan of Tim Burton. In fact, 'Batman' is one of my favorite movies, even though it probably could have been named 'Joker', considering Jack Nicholson's WAY over the top performance.

I'm surprised that you didn't like the Green Goblin's costume in 'Spider-Man'. I thought it made the character more 'comic'-like and authentic. And Defoe was perfectly cast. I suppose the lesson here is that there is more to great film-making than great casting. I can't really comment much about Sandman since I fall asleep every time I try to watch 'Spiderman 3'. I wanted it to be good, I really did. But it wasn't. It was a lengthy train-wreck.

I really liked this blog, Jawsh. You should write more, although I realize you probably have quite a busy life.

Do you still have the awesome red bass?

Just read ASM #699. Epic. Gross. Then Incredible. A great comic, left me wanting more... Dan Slott is a genius. You know, there's another Spidey thread started by in which he surmises that Alistair Smythe is the Superior Spider-Man. I think he might be right.

Regardless of what they plan to do with the new trilogy, I think it's time to have either a television series or an entire film dedicated to Galen Marek (Starkiller) and The Force Unleashed storyline.

I'm very partial to ASM, so #698 is my favorite of the week. Although the IDW Frankenstein cover looks awesome, as well. I'm a new participant at this site, glad my friend #Jawshco recommended it to me.
