This is ace; it's just like that scene in Father Ted where the plane is going to crash and they have a competition to decide who gets the parachutes. Except, you know... with comics.
" I'm on the father's side on this one. I don't care what the father's reasons are, a daughter or son should respect the wishes of the parents. If she's willing to get with your friend anyway and throw away years of devotion and care from her parents for some guy she's only known a fraction of the time, then she's an awful daughter. If the parents don't like the potential spouse there's no point in marrying said person. All you do is cause trouble in the family and if a child is born from the unsupported union, well then that child is going to grow up either 1) without grandparents in his/her life or 2) in a dysfunctional family. It amazes how many people are so willing to give up their parents just because they can't keep it in their pants. So what if this is racism from the father? I don't care if the reason is "because I said so" if the parents are against a marriage, there's pretty much no point in going through it. "
