I went there once, as a kid. Had a hell of a good time. In other words, no real opinion, just some fond memories.

Florida be on that bullsh!t... we have a terrible Job Market down here and a history of Racial Infused Issues and Affairs just like any Southern State... we apparently have State Officials who can't count for sh!t as Florida was one of the last States in the 2012 election to actually officially count all their votes.

I still think Mississippi is worse because of their even more morbid history with Racial Issues and such.

You think Florida is the worst? Somebody needs to take a trip to Mississippi, especially since they were the last state to ratify the 13th amendment (in 2013).

Grew up in Florida and visit there every year quite frequently. It has it's share of problems..but what state doesn't? Anybody can point fingers at any of the 50 states and berate the people, the economy, the laws, the climate etc. Florida isn't exclusive to this manner of criticism so don't act as if it is due to some unfounded bias/resentment you may harbor towards it.

On a side note..I've seen some of the most beautiful Latin women in my time down in West Palm Beach and Ft. Lauderdale. So yea..there's that :)

I mean,what about the public's opinions on things like gay marriage and such (which have changed in recent years,but still)?

And again,Florida has faults (definitely),but at the same time,someone can say the same thing for every place on Earth. If anything,it's just opinion.

What I meant by saying "while it might be something we never know",I was referring to the truth,(and remember I said currently)we'll never know if black people are the most racist or not,even though you may believe in your heart that it is whites because of slavery and segregation.Prime example is christianity,due to colonization the majority of the USA's population is Christian and believe god is real and believe him/she/it/they as their one TRUE savior,we'll never know if he's true but most denizens of the USA are christians de facto America is a christian nation. That's the same logic applied to Florida.

What someone believes is the worst state is a personal opinion and differs from person to person. A person can make a case as to why New York City is the worst. I know I am basically repeating things,but the simple point is:

The topic is subjective and up to the person. If most people held the same opinion that _____ was the worst actor of all time,then that would just be their collective opinion. It's not a fact. I don't really get your example(s),like,at all.....

It's just their collective opinion. An opinion is an opinion,just because most people hold the same opinion doesn't make it a fact. Imagine if the majority of America thought that Blue was the best color,it wouldn't really make it a fact since the matter is completely subjective. It doesn't turn into some fact,it's just their own collective opinion that is subjective,meaning varying from person to person.

tl;dr the matter is subjective. A case can be made for why every state is the worst place on earth,it doesn't make it true. It's just a person's own opinion. It doesn't matter if 1 or 100 people held the same opinion,it doesn't make it a fact. The number of people that hold an opinion doesn't determine whether it is valid or not. It's a subjective matter. Like what a person's favorite color is. Just because 1 or 1000 people think Blue is the best color in the world doesn't make it a fact since the subject itself is subjective and dependent on the person.

I don't really get the Christian and Racial examples and I really don't even get their point at all. And whether God exists or not is a matter of fact/fiction. It's not really a matter of opinion. It's like saying that the following, "Drink too much alcohol and you get drunk" is an opinion. It's a fact. Saying 'California is the best place to live on this earth" is an opinion. It doesn't matter if 1 or 100000 people hold that same opinion,it's still an opinion by definition and subjective.
