I was flicking through some of my comic boxes when a flash of a silver foil cover caught my eye (happened to be Spectacular Spider-man #200. It dawned on me then that it was actually worth sweet FA. I've had this thing bagged and boarded for nearly 20 years and I'd be lucky to get 2 bucks for it. Anyways this isn't a post about the fruitility of using comics as an investment but whether there are any newstand edition modern comics from about 1990-2011 thats worth over $100? Only one I can think of is the first issue of The Walking Dead which seems to fetch a few hundered dollars.

It could actually make it like reading two different stories - the first read-through with just dialogue, and the second with the light revealing their thoughts... thoughts pertinent to the story.

Thats the first thing that popped into my head when I read the article. Doesn't have to be thought bubbles of course. It could be something paranormal where only the main character can see the spirits and everyone else thinks he/she is crazy.

Are these polybags resealable or are they like the 90's bags where you had to tear them open with your teeth whilst trying your best not to crease the precious comic inside?

Could you delete the alt cover here please. I forgot to trim the 'scanner' edges off.

Cheers

I haven't seen Superman IV since I watched it at the cinema in 1987 (lordy I'm getting old). It sticks in my mind because of how dire it was and the fact that when the end credits rolled up everyone in the theatre just sat there in disbelief with an unspoken "is that it?" and curious glaces at each other hoping someone else would be the first to stand up.

I do have the strange desire to relive those nightmarish 90 minutes of my childhood. Might as well do it in high definition right?

http://www.comicvine.com/veronica-meet-kevin-keller/37-273465/ - looks like it's issue 1 of a new volume, and doesn't belong in the Veronica volume.
I thought the same thing when I first saw it but if you look closely at the cover it says '1, 207'. So it looks like its a mini-series within and regular ongoing series.

I'm still waiting for the Howard and Donald Team-Up. It needs to happen just for the touch of irony that Disney threatened to sue Marvel back in the day for infringing on Donald the Duck's copyright.

Does anyone know if Disney titles will be under the Marvel banner in the future once the contract with Boom Studios runs out?
