Ok

I know I'm not the most die hard comic fan ever born but I like 'em and I read what I can when I can. I haven't had a problem with DC's new 52 until now what did they do to my Green Arrow?! That is not the man I know its some f@#$ing teeny bopper Smallville crap, and the one thing GA isn't is teeny bopper. He's anit-establishment, if anything they should have made him an old man. I don't even recognize this person, he sucks. Just my opinion, take it or leave it.

that wolverine anime sucks

If that was Wolverine in that show i didn't see him. That was some little emo-crybaby lookin' sissy, maybe it was Daken but not my Wolverine. I know its anime but c'mon wolvie is supposed to be a hard-ass no-nonsense guy not some guy crackin' jokes and easy going. That was not Wolverine, did like Iron man though and I'm not even an Iron Man fan.

Classic X-men Arcade Game

My fiancee just got a Iphone this weekend (I haven't the ability to afford one just yet, but that's neither here nor there.) and one of the first things I insisted on doing was downlaoding the Classic X-men arcade game. It's freakin' cool. I already went through it once w/ Cyclops but I plan on going though it again and again as all the players. It was so much fun it would have cost me $20 in quarters to beat it 15 years ago but I did it in one sitting here. Two things that kinda ticked me off though the buttons were kinda in the way of the screen and my fingers would obstruct my view. The other, I thought I remembered being able to change players whenever you died on here you couldn't, am I trippin or was this an actual feature? Let me know what you thought, who were your favorite players of the game, or who do you think is the best to use?

Origin Stories!

Don't get  me wrong the Origin story is what hooks you in, its what makes a great character.  Batman, Superman, and Spider-Man are the 3 best in my opinion, but when it comes to the movies especially the reboots, why?  Even if you don't read comics you know the background story of all three characters, how many times do we need to tell the same story over and over again?  Once we've been told the story lets move on.  The Spider-Man reboot is what makes me bring this up, why do we keep going through his high school years again? I like Pete as an adult, I think the stories are richer and fuller and more dramatic. We don't keep telling the origin over again in the books, why can't comic book movies be like the comics themselves and be more serialized, sorta like Star Wars, give us a brief synopsis of whats going on and get into the story, don't tell the same story again.  I get Origin movies for heroes such as GL, FF, Cap, Iron Man, and so on.  The lesser known characters we need to know, but these heroes everybody knows, what's the point?  I think that's why I have enjoyed the DC animated movies of the last few years so much, they get to the point and tell a great story and that;s why we love the characters so much. Please no Spider-Man reboot lets just tell a new story we haven't seen yet.

Camelot

I was wondering if anyone saw the new show Camelot on Starz the other night. I know this is a comic website but I feel this an appropiate discussion for the this website. It was a very good premiere lots of sex and violence. Eva Green's performance was spectacular.  I could decide if I wanted to bang her or would I be too scared that she'd stick a dagger in my chest mid-relation. The whole cast was great especially the actor who played Merlin( Joseph Fienes I believe). They took an old story and put a new twist on it and it was great. I really liked the scene where Arthur pulled the sword from the stone, they've certainly come a long way from the Disney version we all saw when were younger. Thoughts, feedback, anyone?

The Return of Bruce Wayne.

Okay if you know me, you know I enjoy my comics in graphic novel form.  I saw the Return of Bruce Wayne graphic novel today and my question for all of you would be.  Should I pick it up? Is it worth it? It looked kinda iffy to me, that is why I ask, let me know.

Are Sinestro and Hal Jordan really that different?

Yes Sinestro lets his quest for ultimate authority get the best of him but at one time he was good, he was the best there was.  Hal Jordan comes along and starts questioning the Guardians and they start changing the rules, why would they do so for a rookie and the greatest. That would piss me off too! I just think that Sinestro and Hal are more alike than we see: both have problems with authority, both have a connection to Abin Sur, both became the greatest in their field and wield the power like nobody's business, but  at the end of the day they are both just looking for stability and control in the universe.

Green Lantern/Tax Check

With my nice little tax check on the way I think i've decided to get the goings on of Green Lantern Corps. With most of the Blackest Night and Brightest Day in graphic novel form I wanna start reading those, but where do I start?  I've read Secret Origin and Rebirth where do I go next, what are the most important ones to read and the not so much ones and in what order? If anyone can help me I'd appreciate it! Do I need to read the Sinestro Corps war I just don't know where to start and end up.

Human Target

Last night's Human Target was the shit, I can't believe its over already.  In my opinion it is one of the best shows on TV, it reminds of the old days and watching the A-team on TV. I love this show I hope they don't cancel it but I didn't think they would give it a second season so I guess I should be happy.  I also didn't think I would like the new folks on the show but I did, I hope they bring it back, if anybody knows anything let me know.
