Good actor dont mean a good movie, many times means is a bad one and they try to hide is a bad movie by having many good actors.

Sorry, but none of those guys fit the Star Wars universe, many dont even know how to do their own stunts and they are casted as Jedis, the guys that need to know how to use an sword and martial arts, Jennifer Lawrence cant do action scenes, X Men and the Hunger Games show this.

A casting full of many famous actor work better in theory that in the screen.

We dont need Star Wars for the mainstream, we need Star Wars, Star Wars for the mainstream was the main problem of the prequels.

I mean you could say that Hayden Christtensen sucked, but the guy train for the last scene of Episode 3 months, that is what you need, he could have sucked but he cared for his job, he would had never do an action scene like the one on the Hunger Games Ones.

Dude, I'm pretty sure Abrams knows what he's doing. Also, not to be a jerk, but these actors are pretty good. I'd say they can be good for supporting roles. The main cast can be unknowns.

That sound better, the fact that people is famous dont mean is a good casting.

There is a bunch of actor that could do the same job and are less famous, many times they make a better job or have skill to do what they need.

Sorry, its a bad casting, when you decide to cast people because they are famous over their skills isnt a good idea, is the reason why hollywood fails at making martial arts movies and why the past decade of action movies sucked, i mean the old guys from the 80s and 90s have to save the genre.

Jennifer Lawrence was in an action movie called the Hunger Game, she sucked so badly it wasnt even funny, Star Wars means Lightsaber scenes and many of those things, i mean a much stuntmen Lucas used in the prequels, he made the actor do many of his own stunts, Andrew Garfield didn do any of his scenes as Spiderman, and the rest of the guys have zero idea too.

Also, this is a Teens Choice Awards type casting, we dont need another teen movie.

We need Star Wars like it used to be.

Original Trilogy: Unknown Actors that became the character, timeless classic and the most successful franchise of all times

Prequels: Bunch of famous guys, abomination performance from great actors and it has many of the worst moments of the franchise, maybe the most hated movies ever.

Star Wars sells, there is no need for famous actor and the experience say a famous guys casting means an awful Star Wars movie.

Only Jeremy Irons is an actually good casting choice, i know you love The Hunger Games, but it sucked, the action was horrible tha acting was awful and it could be actually worst that Twilight.

I don't like that list And I really don't want to see the original cast return.

@Xanni15: Having an A-lister provide a voice for an animated movie and dubbing over an A-lister with someone else's voice are two completely different things. I think both the studio bankrolling the movie as well as the actor's representation would say "If you're going to have an Academy award winning actor in your movie you had better let them act." Even playing a silent character would be preferential. But for something like this to work Jamie Foxx and Michael Ironside would have to be in complete agreement as to exactly everything that each scene needed. Otherwise Jamie Foxx could be thinking of portraying it one way which could be completely destroyed when the voice actor steps in and has a different interpretation. It would make any acting either of them did almost completely ineffectual.

Why not? Plenty of A-listers do animated movies where only their voice is used. Plus SW is going to be HUGE, not to mention they might be fans.

I like the list, a lot of top notch actors and actresses.

Agreed. Plus why get Jamie Foxx an Oscar winner and then dub over his voice? Plus Jessica Chastain is too young to be Mara Jade Skywalker if Carrie, Mark and Harrison are reprising their roles I think.
