I picked this up last week as well. I enjoyed the first issue and I'm hoping that changing it from a limited series to an on-going series doesn't diminish or stretch out the storylines too much. I think this is an interesting and fun read.

I agree with the others that it jumps a bit too far into the story without a lot of background. Maybe we'll start to see more background information as flashbacks in the future issues. I'm also still a bit confused on what makes CNV character different from the others? They mentioned he was the only one who completed the treatments or whatever, so did the other fail the treatments? Is he the only one with 3 simultaneous voices and the others are just multiple personalities (but just 1 at a time)?

@xerox-kitty, look at the mouth, eyes, face structure.

I'm betting its a gender reversed alternate universe, but that's just my guess.

@g-man: Lady Deadpool isn't in #900. I read an inteview on another site stating that it will be alternate universes. You can see the Lady Captain America above. So I'm assuming there's a "lady" universe (or opposite gender where the superheroes genders are reversed) where Lady Deadpool is at.

Here's a recent article from Marvel with some Q&A with Rick Remender.

"One of my primary goals coming to the book was to help redefine or refresh Frank's motivations, to question what it is that drives this force of nature after so many years of losing his family," the writer relates. "Frank is a monster on the inside. He damned well has been through enough, so it's not hard to see why, but he's a monster all the same, and the next year's worth of stories leans into that. Readers won't believe what Frank does in PUNISHER #10. I think it's a moment that helps to redefine who he is and why he does what he does. That leads in thematically [to] where he's left physically in issue #11."

It sounds like we have about a year of Frankencastle to read. I'm on the fence. I've been a long time fan of Punisher, but this is a bit too far for me. I think I may pick up #10 and #11, but I'm about 50/50 for #12+ if it continues.

I'm thinking that Dr. Betty might turn out to be Lady Deadpool. That way they can do the mini-event in the Merc with a Mouth series to keep the primary Deadpool title outside of this. The Merc with a Mouth series already has Deadpool and Headpool (head of zombie deadpool) and if Dr. Betty donned a suit, then that would match the above image.

I don't know much either about the Mangaverse, other than what's on the ComicVine pages. In Mangaverse, Shuri was called T'Channa and was Dr. Doom in the Earth-2301 universe. I think her brother was still T'Challa (Black Panther) - that's how T'Channa = Shuri. Since she was Dr. Doom in Mangaverse, her allies and enemies would have probably been totally different than the 616 Shuri who is now the Black Panther of 616.

Thanks. That's what I'm assuming too.

I just didn't know if it counted since she went by a different name and it was a different reality, even though it was the same person.

I've been trying to track down Shuri's first appearance, but I've found a few discrepances.

ComicVine
http://www.comicvine.com/shuri/29-58997/
"Shuri is a comic book character that first appeared in Marvel Mangaverse #3" (2002)
Mangaverse Shuri (called T'Channa there) was in the Earth-2301 universe.

ComicBookDb.com
http://www.comicbookdb.com/character.php?ID=30548
"First Appearance: Black Panther (2005) #2"

Marvel Wiki
http://marvel.wikia.com/Shuri_%28Earth-616%29
"First appearance: Black Panther Vol 5 #1 (April, 2009)"

Anyone have any idea on which one is the technical first appearance by collector standards?

I know the Mangaverse issue was set in another universe (2301 vs 616). And I think Marvel Wiki is counting the first time she donned the title and costume as the 1st appearance. So would ComicBookDb entry of Black Panther (2005) #2  be the first Earth-616 appearance of Shuri?

Thanks

I also think the Deadpool Team-Up is a series that isn't really needed. With 2 current series (Deadpool & Merc with a Mouth) and roles in next year's X-Men and X-Force stuff, I don't think we need another Deadpool series for next year. I don't mind the Deadpool Corps as a one-off limited series or Annual type book, but I hope it doesn't turn into it's own series.

Is there a post or forum to submit new feature requests?

A couple of items that I've noticed are:
1. Create a "URL" field for publishers
2. Allow personal lists be sorted (and saved by person) as an image list (like the list of covers on each Volume page - just display the images horizontally & vertically in a grid format instead of only a vertical list).
