I just spent about an hour at my local comic book shop, talking with the manger down there about Hellblazer, and Batman, and general stuff. I had popcorn from down there and I had brought him no bake cookies... it was fun.

It's cool that you can hang out with them. Most of the guys I know who run them are just about selling you more stuff. : /

@TheSheepHerder:   I always get a discount. At my comic book shop people who subscribe (you have a list of comics you get monthly, that they set aside for you in boxes) and pick up their comics monthly get a 10% discount. It's really quite awesome.

when im at my shop, i call the owner by his first name. he always asks me if i want something from my box of kitty pryde issues. i usually take a couple out and buy some issues of zenescope titles and uncanny xmen and whateverelse draws my attention. we talk about upcomic comic-relation films and whatnot. he ususally gives me free mag thats on his counter and a flyer for an upcoming comicbook story or a comic con.
