@Twentyfive:

Lol. Every man on here's dream was shattered!
But not mine.
I want a woman to write the series. We need more female writers.

I wouldn't want them to write Batgirl either, not because they're men though. They both have a tendency to drag on storylines FOREVER. While those stories are amazing. I don't have the attention span or interest in reading another mega-crossover title that can't get a single story told in four issues or less. Rotworld has essentially been going on since issue 1 in Animal Man and Swamp Thing, and it's still not done yet? Some titles need to be more episodic, and Batgirl is one of those titles for me.

I'm already mentally preparing to be on that damn island for a very long time when Lemire takes over Green Arrow.

We DO need more female creators, but I don't think it should be a prerequisite to write a female lead series. Bryan Q Miller did some phenomenal stuff on his run with Steph as Batgirl. Across the DC universe, Brian Azzarello is telling some of the best Wonder Woman stories we've ever seen.

I want more female creators across the board.

@derf_jenkins: DC will probably announce the new writer tomorrow when they release the March solicits for the Bat-family and the Dark group.

My money's on a writer from the Before Watchmen books moving over to the Bat-verse now that Before Watchmen has wrapped. I would like to see Azzarello's take on the character.

I did read a rumor that Lobdell was potentially taking over, but I REALLY hope that's not true.

@Spidermac17: Not to mention the total time paradox that is Damian Wayne. How can Batman have a 10 year old son with the daughter of a villain if he's only been Batman for six or seven years?

@RedQueen: I do think this book has the "fun" factor that you mentioned in your review. I appreciate that when books like Teen Titans are reenacting the Hunger Games in their first arc. I'm hoping for a creative team change soon, so I can come back to the book.

You can't have a Wonder Woman show without Diana, unless the show isn't about Wonder Woman at all and instead about the Amazons themselves.

I'm just glad they're moving forward with this instead of that NBC version.

Worlds' Finest is just a bad book. I love Earth 2. I love Huntress, Power Girl, AND Damian Wayne as characters, but every month this book fails to wow me. The zero issue was decent, but that was about it. So far, it's not even worth picking up back issues on Comixology when they drop a dollar off the price.

I feel bad for the hardcore Hellblazer fans. For some of those people, this is their favorite book and has been for years. Even if Constantine turns out to be one of the best new 52 series to date, it won't be the same for the core fan base who have already made up their mind about the character through his reintroduction to mainstream DC comics over a year ago.
