@Sydpart2: While i think comicbooks are genuinely guilty of cheating readers by killing then ressurecting characters this is a cheat id be okay turning a blind eye to after all dc comics killed Kid Flash and then resurected him after a few issues and would anyone have ever thought theyd see the day when the arogant 15 year old brat known as jason todd would have come back a psycotic antihero more than a decade later after being beaten and completely obliterated by the joker? I certainly didnt. Main reason id like this cheat to occur with Black Mask is no one could quite put the S in sadist when it came to Roman Sionis he was easily one of the most ruthless and most evil characters next to the Joker, and the writers always seemed to do a great job having him him mock enemies with easily the best sacarstic comments to date. Just look at the diologue he and Jason Todd exchanged (Jason Todd on the phone with Black Mask talking about the kryptonite he stole from him) Jason Todd : Im sure i can find alot of buyers for this Black Mask : Im sure there are hippos who can paint fences but i aint seen any lately!
Thats the main thing i miss about the character the dry sarcasm. I know there sort of doing that with the Warren White ( The Great White Shark) but it just dosent quite feel the same i mean for crying outloud Roman sionis managed to control the gangs in Wargames by posing as Orpheus and easily fooling are Worlds Greatest Dectective, not to mention pissing Batman off to the point where Batman would have pummeled him to death had oracle not forced Batman to leave the Watchtower. I mean who else are we going to see feed people bits of there loved ones corpses? Who else are we going to see brand someone by buring their eyes out with a red hot poker? And who else are we going to see systematically ravage their victims by decimating their faces in torture interigations?
I think if they can give Jason Todd the green light i see no reason why they cant do the same to Black Mask, after all the character made a phenominal impact in Wargames. im all in for seeing the character back in one capicity or another just where and when :) P.S Dc comics even managed to resurect a joke named Maxi Zeuss so anythings possible in my book.
