A movie is definitely not the way to go unless it's a movie that leads into an HBO series. I'm a massive 100 Bullets fan and I am not entirely too happy that they scrapped the tv series idea that they had a few years ago. It's a modern noir story that needs a load of time to develop the characters and setting. I'm happy it's getting some mainstream attention but my initial fear is that the movie will not be a noir thriller but will be a typical action movie that just glosses over Graves's "game" as it is called. Also good luck fully fleshing out Lono, the Trust and the Minutemen in the space of one movie without it being lip service.

That Aquaman ! Also that Wonder Woman looks regal and bad ass ! Why can't we get a story of an experienced battle weary Wonder Woman ala TDKR ????

I'm actually loving the Grayson, G.A and GL looks ! I like the idea of characters actually looking a touch more practical, im sure I'll miss the fantastical costumes but this change is refreshing.

I haven't read GL since issue 20 but this event looks fantastic ! Does anyone know when this will be collected as an HC or trade ?

I grew up with BTAS and the DCAU and I thoroughly enjoy GL and YJ and especially Spectacular Spider- Man. I introduced my 7 year old nephew to all of them and he loved them all. The only thing that we can both watch now is TMNT.

The issue is that people seem to think nowadays that wacky antics and jingoistic kungfoolery is the way to appeal to kids. The older stuff and even the new stuff like GL and YJ did what is essential, fleshing out the characters, building worlds, getting to know the character's senses of humour so that a 7 year old and a man in his late 20s could both laugh at different things and certain aspects appealed to both children and young adults.

What the old shows got right was that there was a shared appreciation of characters, storylines and animation. Today the shows are forgettable if there is no actual attachment to characters and their growth then the show becomes hollow. I swear YJ and Spectacular Spider-Man both had soul, humour and great drama. Respect for source material while streamlining and modernising is what made so many of our favorite comic book shows work.

In brief,the new shows need soul,character,wit and charm while being action packed and well written.

Psylocke....she's a well ahem "rounded" character. Lots of reasons to get "behind" her and support her. Also she's a badASS psychic ninja with an intriguing history.
