I have been experimenting with digital painting lately and completed my first full on digital render of one of my favorite marvel comic characters. Pryor to this I had only ever colored my artwork digitally. I used the reference photo and painted over it using a paint program. When I printed it I used some water colors and pastels to fashion out the details, for the final scan.
@pikahyper: Well I figure if they would let a character like Red Sonja go (who was a pretty big character in her time) they wouldn't have a problem letting go of a character who only showed up in a couple issues of X-Men. But thank you for the advice I'll try to get in touch with the creator of the character.
Basically is there any place in all of fictional any planet universe that you would like to live in?
That I would like to live....hell no! but character wise I would end up in the Marvel Universe, likely smack dab in the Age of apocalypse in a Morlock tunnel.
I am interested in buying a couple character copyrights from some comic book publishing companies (The way Rob Liefeld bought the rights to "fighting American" from Joe Kirby, or How Dynamite Comics bought the rights to Red Sonja from Marvel) The character's as I understand it are out of circulation, but I am not exactly sure where to begin. They're marvel characters. In particular I want to purchase the copyright to the character Murcury #1.
Any advice or suggestions I would greatly appreciate.
@Jnr6Lil: honestly the people who don't see it as an alternate reality know how to explain their reasoning a little better than the people who are in the affirmative.
I personally don't consider it an alternate reality. I consider it a highly affective illusion, as it was an event that took place in Earth 616, and the consequences were consequences that were that of 616.
