@nerdchore: He's empowered by yellow sunshine and Earth's atmosphere (somehow). This was the full force of a star focused on Thor for over a minute, VS the guy who got crispy from a Nuke.
This is stupid, mainly on the account a Nuke turned Superman into a thriller reject skeleton-man in space. This was the ENTIRE FORCE OF A STAR directed at Thor for over a minute.
Thanos was warping reality on a universal scale with a snap of his fingers in the MCU, despite his chest being caved in. This is a hugely one-sided fight.
Supposedly Captain Marvel is going to be fairly top-tier. I'll be interested to see how the Russos have her top MCU Odinforce Thor's IW feats.
Restarts the machine that keeps a dying star's fusion going (via hurling Rocket's ship really fast / holding onto it)
Face-Tanks the full force of said star going through him (just to heat the forge that makes his new hammer)for over a minute.
Casually knocks down giant building-sized ships with new hammer.
Powers through IG Thanos' attacks and is the only person to actually injure him the entire movie (Iron Man had him bleed, after everyone throws everything they have at him, Thor on the other hand caves in Thanos' chest at his most powerful state).
Has access to the Bi-Frost (hello dimensional portals!)
Always nice to see silly feats like this. But hey, Jane Thor can not only operate at lightning speeds on patients, but she can catch lightning bolts without Mjolnir mid air.
Dunno, Cap is massively superhuman in just about every department - from a minor healong factor, strong enough to Throw Ultron through concrete supports and could literally dodge anyone's aim given how quickly he ran circles around Falcon in a casual jog.
Heck,Tony Stark in his Mark III was dodging tank shells yet was getting rocked by cap in H2H till he had the AI start predicting where Cap was going to hit him. Otherwise Cap so far has had zero issues with gunfire and leaps around gunfire / projectile weaponry in all these movies.
I'm surprised at all the rage at the idea of Odin shacking up with the phoenix force as if that totally wasn't in character or even a big deal.
My only gripe is Aaron is making "Thor" way too convoluted and the main star, Jane, really isn't all that compelling a main character in her own book (her guest appearances elsewhere do her a lot more justice since it isn't just a marathon of her trying to prove herself to others) despite that Beta Ray Bill, Volstagg (PTSD ed) and Reg Thor (along with his youthful / Elderly counterparts) are still gold.
Short of Clark flying into her BVS sword, I'm struggling to see how she effectively hurts him.
While she magically blocks every bullet with subsonic speeds in her movie and outside her brief 'godmode' moment when she's channels Are's own lightning back at him / blitzs through the german soldiers - her speed feats aren't particularly astoundingly better than his are - while the rest of her physical stats suck by comparison.
He's tougher and much stronger according to hwr own movie; outside him impaling himself he should have this in the bag.
