I knew Scott was slowly losing touch with reality, but now I know he's completely lost it. He actually thinks they can control the Phoenix force. That's insane. Captain America is right and the Avengers have to save Earth from this ego-maniac!
I do not think Jean is coming back. At least not in this event. AvX is supposed to reconcile events that transpired during Avengers Disassembled and House of M. They should focus on fixing all of that before anything else. Jean coming back now would be too much. I have hard time trying to imagine Jean and Hope co-existing. It's either one or the other. One of them has to go.
This is just a guess, but maybe it has something to do with her ability to fly. There has to be some explanation as to why M is able to fly in the air at will. Storm is able to fly by manipulating the air around her. Siryn flies by using the sound of her voice. Namor flies because he has wings on his feet. etc. etc. A mutant can't just fly without rhyme or reason; unless that mutant is a telekinetic. I think M is able to levitate herself using low-level telekinesis. It's the only explanation as to why she can fly and maybe that's why they listed her as a telekinetic.
So Wolverine basically said, "You guys are working for me now and I'm installing new leadership." X-Factor does need new leadership w/o Madrox. Nobody else on that team is capable of leading. Heck, even Madrox was not that reliable of a leader. Anyway, Madrox is not gone. He's still in the book. Just stuck in limbo or something.
