Looking forward to it. He's always been my favourite Asgardian. I have read that his role is kind of a throwaway one though. Not as bad as the first two movies, (it would difficult to be less relevant than those two flicks), but still pretty meaningless. A lot of the reviews I've read don't even mention him.
Has anyone noticed how in the comics recently they are pretty sneaky with how they rarely show Heimdall's skin colour? It's not all the time but often they will have so much shadow on his face that you can't really tell. Or his skin tone, when it's actually seen, is often a bit darker than other Asgardians. He even sort of has dreadlock hairstyle sometimes as well.
So happy to see many others enjoy this book, I had heard a while back it wasn't selling so well and Aquaman series tend to never last very long, (which as a fan for over 30 years saddens me). I'm only wondering when they will give him long hair and a beard again to sync up with his movie counterpart.
Did you read any of his solo series in the 200s? He was still damn serious then. This only started with Bendis. I understand characters evolve but I've been following Danny for a good 30 years or so. It just feels weird to me to see him like this now.
I think the writing in this book is great but I have two issues:
1) Why is Jennie Royce apparently black now?
2) David Walker's characterization of Iron Fist is completely off. He's a complete goofball now. In past series he was always quite serious and didn't really have a sense of humour, (because of how he was brought up and his family history). This Danny Rand is not the one I know at all, (and I own pretty much every comic ever printed with Iron Fist in it).
But the comic does make me laugh which is good. "Fiddle Faddle", lol.
This looks like the X-men movie I’ve been waiting for. My only complaints are that there’s not more villains, (it’s basically X-men vs. X-men), and that my all-time favourite comic book character is supposedly “evil”.
Singer was then asked about the hardest scene to shoot and it involves Quicksilver, played by Evan Peters, which took 17 days to shoot but is only in the film for 2-3 minutes.
That's disappointing.
How so? Pretty sure they mean the scene is only 2-3 mins - not that Quicksilver only has 2-3 mins screen time.
We knew he wasn't going to be a good guy but I'm disappointed to hear that Angel is "so sinister and evil". This doe not bode well for him surviving the movie.
