I paid for a commission to be done by Clay Mann at Boston Comic Con last month. He never showed up on the following day which was the last day of the Con so I never got the sketch. I'm still working on getting everything taken care of. I've accepted that I'll probably just take the loss in the end though.

My experience with Jason Momoa (Conan/Game of Thrones) was great. He was friendly and there were no problems. But I did hear from others during the convention that he was rude and that he was a touch/germ freak (he shook my hand no problem). I was standing outside and witnessed a moment where he blew somebody off but I can kind of understand it as you don't want to be swamped by people in an uncontrolled environment out on the street.

4 days is a long time. If they didn't have time to take on the commission then they should be aware of that. I would be extremely upset if I was you. It is common to have them mail you a commission from what I know though. If you don't mind me asking who is the artist? Most artists have a facebook page or deviant art page to help get in contact with them. I would also recommend contacting the people at Fan Expo Toronto and see if they have any information to help you get in contact with the artist. I had to contact the BostonCon people to get Mann's managers contact information.

The Thing.

It was a while ago but he's already had success on his own. Marvel Two-in-One lasted almost a decade before it turned into The Thing's series.

When the New 52 started there were 4 titles in the Superman family of books. There were 11 in the Batman family of books. The Batman movies both old and new were much much more successful. Superman is the most "iconic" comic character of all-time but Batman has clearly taken over the #1 spot in DC.

With the way society is and the direction it's going I don't think Superman can ever be in the top spot again.

Marvel has Wolverine listed as 5'3" but.......

His original appearance in Incredible Hulk #181 says that he is 5'5".

At about 8 inches tall there can't be many shorter than Shortpack...

Randal says it best in Clerks II. "There's only one "Return"" and "There's only one trilogy".

My favorite non-superhero character is Hellboy. Here are some other great characters...

  • Abe Sapien
  • Lord Baltimore
  • The Goon
  • Franky
  • Blacksad
  • Lady Mechanika
  • Trench
  • Hip Flask
  • Rick Grimes
  • Carl Grimes
  • Andrea
  • Snake-Eyes
  • Storm Shadow
  • The Rocketeer - Some might consider him a "superhero". I don't personally and he's certainly worth mentioning.

Very nice collection. We have a nice thread here where many members of ComicVine have shared their own collections. If you get the chance between all that reading you might want to give it a look...

Comic collection pic thread. (You can see some pics of my own towards the bottom of pg. 4)

I've read that Eric Powell was signed on to write twelve issues so hopefully it's just talking about Jack's journey to get the three storms back coming to an end.
