@landrysaathoff: A good place to start for modern X-Men might be the Messiah Trilogy.

The following X-force series called Uncanny X-Force was also good and had a great story arc called The Dark Angel Saga.

The truth is though, like any new comic reader, you really need to put the time in and research what series there have been and which you would be interested in. Could waste a lot of money on comics and trades you regret.

@sagejonathan: Well, I never thought I could afford a Maleev to be honest but I saved up for this one. I'll also be cosplaying as Punk Bane with some other DC cosplayers so you can keep an eye out. Hope you have a great time at the con.

Yes. Most of the movies we see at the Theater is actually at the Drive-In and I do everything I can to support them.
