Unless you are Gwen Stacy or Uncle Ben, Marvel will resurrect you.

Icon stomps

C'mon Icon doesn't have a knowing weakness,he already take several blows from Superman and wasn't even knocked out and his energy blast gives the edge on this fight

This is no stomp. It's fairly even. Plus Gladiator wins.

I actually go with Icon on this one, Gladiator is a very....iffy...character.

Yeah, agree with you on this one. I use to try to make arguments for Gladiator because of some of his feats, but the writing of his power levels, with that 'fluctuate with his confidence' junk just makes him to hard to judge.

Sometimes he is an planet-moving, 100 times the speed of light flying powerhouse. Other times, even his it seems his confidence should be high, he is completely underwhelming.

Gladiator cannot move planets alone. Ever. Not even Superman has done this. Gladiator's powers flucturate due to story purpose or PIS.

Gladiator could win, imo. Icon would probably win in character though.

Gladiator could & would win. And i will back him up in this fight.

Here is a snip from Marvel.com ...

" He once lifted the entire 35 floor Baxter Building in New York City, and has boasted of being able to move whole planets."

More on Marvel.com: http://marvel.com/universe/Gladiator_(Kallark)#ixzz25bIfqPUq"

Granted that 'boasting' about moving planets, and being shown in an issue to move planets are different, but I think there are some scans floating around of him destroying a planet with his bare hands ... I'll see if I can dig em up.

And again, yes, very different. But either way, he has been shown to be horrendously powerful at times.

Hey nothing at all against a new GL. Although with the universe being so big, does seem that Earth has way too many. And his ethnicity is a neat twist, I hope they write him well.

For what my opinion is worth, he pretty much a direct copy of Kick-Ass.

Sure, that is a lot of power behind the Destroyer. I might concede it could give a Celestial a run for its money, but for THE Celestials? I just don't see it happening.

I think the Celestials have become more popular as of late and are being 'dumbed down' to make them easier to write into stores.

Kubik, the character who is the evolution of a Cosmic Cube, said that a single Celestial possesses "power many orders of magnitude beyond our own". And that is just one Celestial ... "many orders of magnitude" stronger then a cosmic cube.

Just no more "armor stored in his bones" or similar crap. I know this is a comic, but Tony Stark is HUMAN. A human can not store metal in their bones. Him not having instant availability to his armor at times is what, in my opinion, made him great. He, at times, had to solve problems with his brain. No matter how much Fraction has gimped Start, his mind should always be his most potent weapon. If is always has his armor it no longer needs to be.

I am happy and sad about this so far.

Mostly happy since I can now resub to Iron Man and Thor, the only two Marvel titles I ever read, and which Fraction has utterly destroyed. So that's a plus.

But I am sad for Fantastic Four fans. And really, Captain America ... what the heck does Marvel still employ JRJR for? How can anyone? His art is childish, at best. But whatever. They should put him and Fraction together on a few titles so everyone can ignore them both at the same time. Heck, I think Larocca is a better artist then Romita ... well ... that may be going to far.
