wow, some of those are really ... what's the word ... bad!

I may have to resub after a few long years off where Iron Man has just been complete rubbish. At times I think Bendis is the last island of sanity left at Marvel during this 'dark time' of Quesada.

I have never understood this continual 'one-upping' of Iron Man's armor and abilities. Tony Stark is just a man with gadgets. There are tones of heroes this way; Batman, Captain America, Daredevil ... etc. Yet none are messed around with as much as Iron Man. Leave the character alone and write better stories. Give us back the red and gold armor, or the silver centurion.

I have to give them credit ... coming up with something as bad as that must have taken some serious effort.

Always like seeing JRJR's "art". It gives me hope that no matter how talentless a person is, they too can draw comics for a living.

Haven't been this happy my subscription has lapsed since Fraction's putrid run of defiling Thor came to an end.

So many of these characters are so amazingly cliche'ish. Cyclops, Wolverine, Batman, blah, blah, blah.

Give us The Tick, X-O Manowar or Black Canary.

If you want the X-Men, fine, but how about Bishop, Kitty Pride, Longshot, Thunderbird or Cannonball.

I use to be a big Taskmaster fan, until the lusciously stupid memory issues they created. Which, did I mention, are reality-crushingly stupid and poorly implemented?

Anyway, Taskmaster is a very highly skilled human. But that's it. He is still human. Slade has intelligence, strength and speed which are above human. Plus he is a fantastic combatant. Add in that his Nth Metal armor and such ...

Now, if you evened the playing field on abilities, this would be a closer fight, but as is I think Slade takes it 8/10.

@novemberx2: I hear ya and quite agree. However we do have a choice. I think it is just indicative of the snowballing nonsense that Marvel is allowing to happen to their print medium. I exercise my choice by spending my money else where.

Hopefully, someday, they will turn it back around ...
