I think you could have a pedophilic character in a PG-13 movie- it would just have to be more subtle; hints and clues and all that. Then again, movie ratings *are* pretty picky, so it probably wouldn't fly, anyway.
I think the Mad Hatter could work in a Nolan movie, especially if they played off of him like he was in Serious House on Serious Earth, with that whole pedophile aspect.
