@babylinkz: i fig'd that this battle would be ferocious and on the quick side, so her healing factor wouldn't be much of an issue. she is a cybernetic organism so getting cut wont slow her down at all, only bigger wounds would do so. why do you think the healing factor is an issue linkz?

X-Factor investigations is taking a much needed break from work for the Christmas holiday. Shatterstar decides to go unwind in Japan and is having a perfect vacation from his troubles.....that is until he encounters an old foe, Lady Deathstrike....

Shatterstar: current version. armed w/ dual blades (will not be using powers - teleportation or shockwaves)

Lady Deathstrike: current version (except she does not have her new 'cybernetic healing factor')

Battle takes place in an open filed in Kobe, Japan. Combatants start 12 feet from each other. Morals off for both. Fight until death. Who wins & why? Let the battle begin....

@texasdeathmatch: hahaha, my next battle will be sure to have THOR or SUPERMAN used at least 4 dozen times....in a battle btw Goku vs. Buffy......

great thread man! you do an awesome job w/ these bracket battles involving some of the lessed known characters. kudos. i dont have much time to detail my answers, but i see the semi-finals being: Sif v. Valkyrie (who barely beats Wrecker) & Sabra v. Luke Cage....then the finals being: Luke Cage vs. Valkyrie.....winner: Valkyrie!! she has the training, experience & aptitude w/ her weapon to do some serious damage here, but by no means will any of her battles be easy. luke is super durable, but she has the speed and agility needed to combat his brute force style of combat. to the winner go the spoils!!!

Mandarin wants to infiltrate the Secret Avengers. He has recently used one of his rings to mentally possess Iron Fist & Shang-Chi. This was so much of a strain on the ring that it broke, so it doesn't work anymore and wont be useful in this battle. However, Iron Fist & Shang-Chi are now possessed until Mandarin is killed. The three of them go to the super-secret hideout of the Secret Avengers, but only find 3 of them there. Spider-Man, Luke Cage & Ms. Marvel....

Mandarin: Has use of all of his rings except the one used to mentally control ppl. His chi is fully focused.

Iron Fist: is unarmed, but his chi is focused & he is berserker mode (mindlessly bloodlusted).

Shang-Chi: is equipped w/ a staff. also in berserker mode (mindlessly bloodlusted).

vs.

Spider-Man: does not have use of his webbing here. standard spidey outfit.

Luke Cage: unarmed

Ms. Marvel: current version

The battle takes place in a warehouse in downtown NYC. It is a large space, but w/ ceilings that are barely 10ft. high. There are wooden crates and some tech equipment in the warehouse, but its otherwise empty. They start about 20ft. apart. Team 1 has no morals. Team 2 has morals, but quickly realize that the only way to 'win' here is to kill Mandarin and they are willing to do so to save their friends. The battle goes until Mandarin dies or team 2 dies or is totally incapacitated (Iron Fist & Snag-Chi will be devoting themselves to keeping mandarin alive). No bfr. Who wins & why?? Let the battle begin....

if this is current colossus & Mongul has no rings, I can def see the team taking this about 7/10.....he might have advantages individually here, but the team, as a unit, is powerful enough & have a great field tactician to take this one.

so i suppose then that post-relaunch, Bats has been trained by the same people and in the same ways as he was pre-new52??

i've been skeptical w/ regards to this Kirby: Genesis work...but this was not too shabby at all....art was olid though a bit cluttered....story was decent for a 1st ish.....good stuff......
