@comicace3: Gotcha.

@innervenom123: I never said there was anything wrong with a character being gay or bi, just saying it shouldn't be the only thing about a character if they are. I know lots of gay people and all of them have way more going on in their lives than just being gay, just like all the straight people I know have more to their lives.

I know, we covered this.

At no point did I say the entire sum total of this hypothetically bisexual Frank Castle was the fact that he was bisexual.

I just thought it would be cool if Frank Castle was Frank Castle, and bisexual. Because I like seeing LGBT characters.

Revealing Frank as a closeted bisexual would be just one more dimension of his character, it would not take away from the others. He would still go around shooting criminals nearly 24/7. Like the Frank he is.

Its very odd to me that people seem to believe only the group they happen to be part of can have different kinds of people and that their lives don't have to revolve around that one difference.

I'm gonna be honest with you, I have no idea what you're trying to say with this sentence.

Can you rephrase this please?

@comicace3: Okay, then give me a good reason why a fictional character's sexual preference should affect my opinion of said character.

I didn't say a fictional character's sexual preference should affect your opinion. I was confused why you* cared that others enjoyed speculating on the existence of LGBT characters - like the idea of Frank Castle actually being a closeted bisexual (as the scans seemed to indicate in that thread.)

*(And technically I wasn't even referring to you specifically, comicace just assumed that and brought you into it - i kinda meant the entire thread.)

It seems to me that if the character is genuinely good and well written then their sexual preference wouldn't matter. In fact its more homophobic of people to believe sexual orientation has to be the sum total of who a character or a person is.

I'm sure most LGBT people would agree that they are more than just a label.

I am A Gay and you are correct. That is why I wanted to see a character like Frank Castle as bisexual.

Frank Castle, The Punisher, super badass who shoots the shit out of crime on a daily basis. And likes dudes.

Harmless fun.

Yeah. He is right in a sense that at the end of the day it is just a fictional character and we shouldn't really care about their sexual orientation.

Well, why not? We care about fictional characters for every other reason.

We care if Spider-man's married or not, we care if Batman kills people or not, we care if Archie will choose to pursue Betty or Veronica.

So I care a bit about characters' sexual orientation. It's nice to see dudes that like dudes in comic books. I'm down with bi Frank.

@sprior93: Plus, who doesn't like Frank shooting Wolverine in the balls and running him over with a steamroller?

File that under things I'm glad are canon as hell.

Heh. You read @joshmightbe post too huh? And I agree with it.

I don't like the negative reaction that thread got.

What is it you agree with, joshmightbe's post?

Confirmed when Wolverine found Punisher's spank material.

This really shouldn't count. It was just written as backlash to a comic Ennis wrote about Punisher running over Wolverine with a steamroller.

Screw it, good enough I guess.

I'm down with bi Frank. Good job OP.
