The Cult of Khonshu was formed when the Egyptian God Khonshu manipulated three souls (Marc Spector, Jake Lockley, and Steven Grant) into killing his former companions, the other Egyptian Gods. Marc left his ex-wife, Marlene, behind. Grant and Lockley's entire childhoods were manipulated. Khonshu declared himself an "Omega-God." His plans since then have yet to unfold.

PRIEST: “The LORD is my shepherd!”

That same priest in his suburban home, arguing with his wife in a kitchen. We see a man turned over on the couch in a living room, just barely visible from here, with a blanket covering him. It’s night.

CAPTION: TWO NIGHTS AGO.

PRIEST: Janet, there’s nowhere else for him to go! He has nothing, he came up to the door mumbling about fighting a KILLER CULT!

JANET: He needs help!

PRIEST: I intend to get him the help he needs, and--

JANET: To get him out of our house?

PRIEST: Yes. But he has to stay for just a day or two.

PRIEST: Please… look at him.

JANET: … Fine. But he’s out by Friday.

The outside of the church, an overhead view. The area around the church lets us know that this is a small town area, probably in America’s bible belt. There’s a group of about 15 men surrounding it. A few are walking toward the entrance, a few toward the exit. A few are standing around the perimeter, as if to guard.

PRIEST: “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death…”

The sleeping man has turned over, revealing himself to be JOHNNY BLAZE.

BLAZE: mmmhrrzzzzz

CAPTION: PRIEST: “I will fear no evil!”

The priest continues on.

PRIEST: “For you are with me!”

The front doors have fallen, mercenaries dressed in all black and holding guns burst in. There are two important details to remember about them. They all wear black masks, and they all have one identifying mark: a silver crescent symbol on the chest.

MK MERC 1: EVERYONE DOWN!

CROWD: AAAIIIEEEE

MK MERC 2: YOU HEARD HIM! SHUT THE F**K UP AND GET DOWN!

MK MERC 2: HANDS OVER YOUR HEADS!

The priest is shocked, MK mercs are walking up behind him onto the stage.

MK MERC 3: On your knees, false preacher.

PRIEST: WH-WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!

One of the stained glass windows bursts, MOON KNIGHT (Marc Spector) erupting through holding his cape as he dives in head-first. Dramatic entrance.

SFX: KSSHHH

MK MERC 3: You’re about to meet a REAL man of God.

Marc MK looks up, toward the priest, he landed right in the middle of the aisle. Both sides of the church look on in horror.

MOON KNIGHT: Good morning, father.

3.2

The priest is on his knees, forced there by the two MK Mercs, right next to his pedestal on the stage. Moon Knight is walking toward him, and they’re essentially at eye-level.

MOON KNIGHT: Do you know why I’m here?

PRIEST: I-I- Let them go!

PRIEST: Let them all go!

MOON KNIGHT: That all depends on what you do.

3.3

Moon Knight is now close to the Priest, and has his hand out and around his chin, forcing him to look him directly in the face.

MOON KNIGHT: Seen a blonde biker bum recently, father?

PRIEST: I-… I-

MOON KNIGHT: You don’t even know him.

MOON KNIGHT: The guilt will hurt… but surely this entire church’s capacity is worth more than him?

PRIEST: … Yes.

MOON KNIGHT: Yes what?

PRIEST: Yes! I have him! He’s at my house! Please, let them go!

3.4

Moon Knight slashes the priest’s throat open violently with a crescent dart.

SFX: GSHHHSKK

PRIEST: GGAHHH

CROWD: OH MY GOD

CROWD: FATHER!

CROWD: JESUS!

CROWD: LORD SAVE US, SAVE US!

Moon Knight turning his head slightly, blood splatter on his mask.

MOON KNIGHT: SHUT THE HELL UP.

The terrified crowd, frozen in silence. The MK Mercs watch on, guarding the entrance. We get a back view of Moon Knight, similar to the Priest’s from earlier.

MOON KNIGHT: This is no longer a hostage situation.

MOON KNIGHT: It is now a recruitment drive.

A mother holding her 3 year old child near the back, a seat closest to the windows, looks up in horror, covering her child’s mouth. An MK Merc is looking at her, his mask lifted partially so we can see his sadistic smile.

MOON KNIGHT: Your children belong to Khonshu now.

4.2

Moon Knight standing in front of the horrified crowd. The priest’s body slumped over, bleeding out onto the stage, bleeding over it and dripping toward the floor.

MOON KNIGHT: Anyone over the age of 5 in this room is corrupted, and at the moment, we need the purest possible recruits.

MOON KNIGHT: I’m sorry to say, you’ll have to die.

4.3

Outside the Church, the perimeter’s MK Merc guards are opening fire at something off-panel. One of the MK Mercs is pressing his thumb to his ear, talking into a comm system.

SFX: BUDDA BUDDA BUDDA

MK MERC: SIR! SIR, HE’S COMING!

Moon Knight receiving the signal.

MOON KNIGHT: Good.

Ghost Rider stopping his bike in front of the church’s door, starting to get off.

GHOST RIDER: SPECTOR!!!!

CROWD: SMALL TEXT: NO! NO IT CAN’T BE!

CROWD: SMALL TEXT: THE DEVIL! THE DEVIL AND A MADMAN!

The crowd is looking toward the front door, the MK Mercs inside are keeping guns trained on them as usual.

GHOST RIDER: I’M GONNA RIP YOUR F**KIN’ HEAD OFF!

CROWD: SMALL TEXT: We’re all gonna die. We’re all gonna die.

CROWD: SMALL TEXT: Mommy! I’m scared!

5.3

Ghost Rider stepping inside the church, walking down the aisle. He’s dragging two corpses on hellfire-chains, and the bodies are burning, consumed in hellfire that only touches them.

MOON KNIGHT: So they managed to kill the priest’s wife even with you in the way?

MOON KNIGHT: You’re really bad at saving people, you know that?

GHOST RIDER: Now they’re BURNING. FOREVER.

MOON KNIGHT: I told them it was a suicide mission. Their real objective was letting you know I was here.

MOON KNIGHT: I bet you thought you could save the priest, maybe make up for your mistake…

MOON KNIGHT: You were late, Blaze. I killed him for Khonshu. His blood is his food.

Ghost Rider glaring.

GHOST RIDER: You KNEW I was there.

MOON KNIGHT: I wanted to see if he would sell you out.

MOON KNIGHT: Surprise, surprise, he did.

MOON KNIGHT: EVERYONE sells you out. That’s how much you mean to them.

MOON KNIGHT: Aren’t you sick of it? Just a little bit?

MOON KNIGHT: Don’t you want to be part of something MORE?

Ghost Rider throws his arm out, and a hellfire-chain comes from the sleeve, straight toward Moon Knight. At this point, Ghost Rider has stopped carrying the chain that holds the two burning MK Mercs.

GHOST RIDER: NO!

GHOST RIDER: You’ve been chasing me for WEEKS!

GHOST RIDER: IT ENDS HERE!

6.2

The hellfire-chain wraps around Moon Knight’s arm, but he’s pulling his arm back, so he intends for this. He’s still holding the crescent dart, too.

GHOST RIDER: Wh-WHAT?!

MOON KNIGHT: I am one of the TRINITY.

MOON KNIGHT: Khonshu gives me POWER.

6.3

Moon Knight yanks his arm back more, pulling Ghost Rider forward, stumbling a few steps.

GHOST RIDER: YOUR SOUL SHOULD BE ON FIRE!

MOON KNIGHT: It’s protected, Blaze.

MOON KNIGHT: You, on the other hand…

Moon Knight is close up to Ghost Rider now, jamming the crescent dart into Ghost Rider’s forehead.

MOON KNIGHT: WILL FEEL KHONSHU’S WRATH!

GHOST RIDER: GGAHHH!!!

Ghost Rider fallen to his hands and knees, the crescent dart stuck in his forehead. He looks like an ordinary skeleton.

MOON KNIGHT: Feel it.

MOON KNIGHT: Feel the blood of who you sought vengeance for turning on you… his soul wants vengeance on YOU.

MOON KNIGHT: For being the pathetic fool who wandered into his life and transformed it into THIS!

Moon Knight looks behind him, and up.

KHONSHU: Yessssss…

Ghost Rider looking up from his hands and knees to see the massive form of Khonshu staring down at him, towering in the room. Khonshu is more shadowy than ever, eyes burning bright red.

KHONSHU: You have done well, Moon Knight.

KHONSHU: The spirit of vengeance is MINE.

CROWD: WHAT’S HAPPENING?!?

CROWD: JESUS JESUS JESUS

CROWD: WE’RE DEAD

CROWD: THIS IS HELL

Moon Knight looks, angry at the crowd for interrupting Khonshu with their screams.

KHONSHU: Let them scream, my son.

The MK Mercs that are left over have surrounded the church, and are opening fire. Some are throwing grenades.

Moon Knight is standing in an open field, and talking to a lone MK Merc. Johnny Blaze is laid out next to him.

MOON KNIGHT: Everyone dead?

MK MERC: Yes, sir.

MOON KNIGHT: Good.

MOON KNIGHT: Take the children to the training camp.

MK MERC: What do I tell Moon Knight Lockley, sir?

MOON KNIGHT: Standard procedure.

MK MERC: Yes, sir.

Across the room, there’s a large cell with a strong glass wall keeping the occupant inside. The inside of the cell, however, is basically a small apartment. It’s even furnished, and there’s a TV and everything. Standing there with the light switch for the ceiling fan in her hand is a very bruised and scarred MARLENE ALRAUNE.

MARLENE: Listen… whoever you are…

MARLENE: I need your help.
