A large, dark room. An alter for a statue of Khonshu has a burning animal sacrifice in front of it. A pharaoh is on his knees, giving praise to the statue of Khonshu.

The real Khonshu is standing in the room, watching. Leaning against the wall. Looking satisfied.

Khonshu’s eyes are blue, not red.

Back in ancient Egypt, Khonshu is walking toward Thoth in the alter room.

CAPTION: THOUSANDS OF YEARS AGO

CAPTION: KHONSHU: Anubis is the one that truly caused the schism of the Gods.

Khonshu walks closer to Thoth. Thoth looks sad for his friend, holding the scripture.

CAPTION: KHONSHU: They blame me for taking Bastet’s followers after, but the sane ones before that knew it was all Anubis’s fault.

KHONSHU: This used to be Thoth’s avatar.

The Moon Knights look relatively disturbed.

KHONSHU: Oh, those were lies.

KHONSHU: It was truly odd. Seeing you two here, the ones destined to kill Ra and Set.

KHONSHU: Maybe destiny picked you just because Marc unknowingly picked aliases that shared your names.

KHONSHU: Maybe it’s a paradox I caused when I asked to see the future.

Jake’s father’s face is covered in cuts. Jake’s mother is sobbing uncontrollably.

JAKE’S DAD: It’s okay.

JAKE’S DAD: It’s going to be okay.

JAKE’S DAD: But we have to get out.

JAKE’S DAD: We can’t afford to panic, we have to--

Jake tackling his father from behind.

JAKE: GET AWAY!

Jake biting into his father’s neck with vicious force. Blood spurts.

Jake’s mother is having a fit of terror.
