I pull up a picture of Wolverine and show it to the person in question.
"Yeah, that's him."
"That's Wolverine."
"Are you sure?"
 
I get questions like this daily in real life.

@Jotham: There is This badger and That Badger.  The one in Power Girl couldn't be the one, since he is less then a year old and IE said he tries to bring up the old badger in conversation, once a year.

She doesn't read comics, and she's my student worker in my office. She had a long conversation with me afterwords about why people shouldn't open their comic book toys because they're going to be worth less money.... to which I replied,

How does he not know he Wolverine is?  I assume that at this point in time, everyone, regardless of whether they read comics, should be aware of Wolverine.
