Word! Thats a pretty sweet deal. I would do a lot of dishes for someone to pick up my books each month haha. Just making sure I wasnt recommending this stuff to a 10 year old or anything. Both are kick ass books. If you only pick one of them though, go with Saga. Prophet can be pretty strange to say the least so while it is a phenomenal book I always feel like the general reading audience may not dig it as much as I do.

Saga, are you reading Saga, if you're not you should be ashamed of yourself and remedy that situation immediately, it's the next big thing from the guy who wrote all the other big things

Prophet for your sci-fi fix

And two ...

Prophet is amazing and since its formated in short connected story arcs its a very rewarding read where the story develops at a good pace. Just start at #21 since the series reboots at that point. The first 20 issues are basically unrelated.

I do want to ask though ... how old are you? Just cause you mention that your dad is buying your comics for you online and both of these titles are a little ... um ... mature

Perhaps the right to kill should be defined by whether The Avengers is considered a team of vigilantes with a similar moral code or a group of government agents following the orders of a political hierarchy. The latter would make The Avengers no different than S.H.I.E.L.D. and thus the permission to kill is implied and recruiting members such as Wolverine permissible.

Thats what I was going to say .... while the Avengers might call themselves 'Earth's Mightiest Heroes' I think thats more of a PR move. In reality, they should probably be called 'Earth's Mightiest Soldiers' or the 'Dont $%*& With Us Aliens/Villians Team'. Also, before anyone flames me, yes I base the majority of my knowledge about the Avengers off the movie and the small amount I know about the individual characters and their origins. So troll away!

Also, not directly pertaining to the Avengers, in my book heroes can kill. Its more about why they killed and how they feel afterwards that affects their status as a hero.

I would totally buy Lex Luther a beer. Or a Scotch. Seems like he might be a Scotch kind of guy.

Man, this is a silly scenario that I cant help but respond to. Though im actually struggling to come up with 10 characters since I read/watch mostly horror scifi stuff. We could probably rock those orcs with just me and the top 3 (im pretty badass).

1. Lobo ... Sam Keith style all the way

2. Deadpool (MAX version)

3. Hulk SMAAAAAASH! (Avenger's Movie style)

4. Mr. Pendulum (from Wormwood)

5. Ray (from Welcome to Hoxford, after the whole "hey im a monster" realization)

6. The T-Rex from Jurassic Park

7. Krulos (from Dinoriders! Doubling up on the T-rex action here... they can kick ass even with those little arms)

8. Dr. Manhattan

9. The Demon, Etrigan

10. Robot Santa (from Futurama)
