This thread is awesome. I think all the rational people should leave as they are taking away from my enjoyment. I never even liked Grant Morrison before but this is just classic ...
I think its to take advantage of people like me who become obsessed with meaningless achievements and statistics that in the long run dont provide you with any kind of reward or compensation for little explicable reason other than a naturally compulsive/obsessive personality ...
@Katie24: Yeah I love Etrigan. I just picked up the first issue of Demon Knights but havent gotten around to reading it yet. And Ive always wanted to read O.M.A.C. I heard it got canceled already though. I might grab the trade when it comes out though if its worth a read.
@Lvenger: Right? On an island full of freak mutant animals? That sounds like a bucket of fun. But yeah, the artwork is great. Flipped through an issue to make sure its not just the covers (cause I hate when that happens) and it just looks awesome. Its on my must read list but Saga, Prophet and Foster are taking priority right now and I havent had time to read much else. Other than an awful attempt to reintroduce Lobo to the DC new 52 by a writer/artist who shall remain nameless ...
Im really interested in people's responses here because my familiarity with superheroes is pretty limited as well and Ive kind of been thinking about expanding my reading list...
I read a lot of Lobo and the Demon in the 90's but thats about it. The only superhero I ever kept up on was Green Lantern. Sinestro Corp wars is a fantastic arc on that note, but other than a few issues in the post Blackest Night era I kind of lost track of that too.
I just got into the Hulk and have to say that Planet Hulk is actually awesome. Took me a bit to get past the fact that it was Hulk in space but the premise is great and it was really well written.
Also really enjoyed Deadpool MAX (love David Lapham, Stray Bullets is amazing if youve never read it).
