Battle for the Cowl #1
This was actually really good. It is really similar to some of the other crossovers, like No Man's Land and War Games, but I still liked it. On the other hand, I am not happy about the return of Black Mask. It's been done, and he is one of the few super-villains I really can't tolerate. And he happens to have a destructive chip in one of my favorite character's heads. Last time he and Scarecrow met, Black Mask pushed him in the way of some laser beams, and almost killed him. And this is not even a new plot idea, Black Mask has 'died' and come back to life at least once before, I think twice. But enough about Black Mask. I liked (most) of the art, especially how the artist brought back a trait that Mr. Zsasz has not had in a while. His eyes were white on black, rather than black on white. I also liked that they brought back Jane Doe, who I think has only had one other appearance which was in Arkham Asylum: Living Hell.
Titans #11
Last panel was okay, but I really didn't get most of the story. Mainly, I just couldn't recognize most of the characters out of costume. Can't wait for Deathtrap!
