So I hear Vixen is getting a cartoon? Awesome! If she were getting a live show like Arrow/Flash/Legends of Tomorrow/Hawkgirl she'd have like a rich supporting cast all her own. Here's who I'd have on Vixen's TV show. Basically it's Justice League Detroit, sans powers... sorta.
Mari McCabe, the star of the show, still figuring out how she fits into the world with all these incredible powers.
Buddy Baker, an aging animal channeler who's powers are on the wane, but who knows a lot about 'The Red.' He and his wife and his daughter are a bit like Mari's surrogate family.
Cynthia Reynolds, a wanderer and a metahuman who kept moving on from Central City and hasn't looked back. She becomes a street rat who bonds with Mari in Detroit, calling back to their comic book team in Justice League Detroit.
Officer Susan Dearborn, Mari's best friend plays the required cop role here, this time not as the love interests father, but as the best friend character. With Gypsy the three girls make a bit of a trio, though she and Gypsy get off on the wrong foot. There may be an Elongated Man in her future, eh?
The engineer who runs the warehouse Mari works out of. Unfortunately he also works for ARGUS, but at the same time he's inspired by and loyal to Mari, no matter what.
Cool geeky guy. Adorable, silly. Great pilot. Provides comic book relief.
In his evil incarnation, as the Shining Man, this is the villain of the piece, infected by The Black, but deep down we see that there's a man in there who is not all bad, who could even be a friend to Mari... if he wasn't making monsters to kill her.
One of the monsters that The Shining Man makes, Chimera is a recurring obstacle for Vixen.
Liar, storyteller, resident of Vixen's nightmares. A mastermind who seems malevolent, but is he? He is, of course, but is he? Appears as a kindly old man.
The enemy infection, master of The Black, driving The Shining Man. Can he be destroyed? Contained? Or will he only spread?
