I just noticed the description of Matter-Eater Lad's powers on Wikipedia: 
"Able to bite through and consume all forms of matter; including that which is supposedly indestructible like Amazonium or Superman"
 
Has Matter-Eater Lad ever bitten Superman? If so, I'd really like to find this comic!
