Just wondering

Since Comic-Com has been going on for a few days, I have noticed a big absence of reports from here on comic panels.  So, I'm throwing this out to everyone else: Does anyone know if any of the Comic Vine people went to any of the panels and if not, Why?  Seems that if they don't go to any of those panels, they can't really call themselves Comic Vine, right?  Something to think about on this Saturday night.

Well, they've done quite a lot of nice video interviews, which isn't something I've seen many of the other sites I've been looking at in the last few days. Comic Vine was never the best news site, I always find that they're one of the last sites to report on a lot of things. I think the main points of the site are the community and wiki, so that might be why you're hearing less. It could also be that they're so busy attending the panels that they haven't had a chance to report back. Listen to the podcast this coming Friday and I'm sure they'll have a lot to say about the event.

@mimschkin: Yeah.  I've noticed that and I probably will listen to the podcast this week.  Even IGN, which in the past has done a great job about having the panels covered, hasn't talked about them.

I'm thinking they did attend various panels, but are waiting to post them until after they get back? Just speculating.

@HT101: Maybe there's just not that many comic-centric panels on this year? More TV and film, and games?

@mimschkin: I know there was an X-Men panel, Cup O' Joe like every year, I think a Green Lantern one and some other DC ones but I haven't heard much about them.

I wish comicvine had a live cam show as well, kind of like Gamespot .

I kind of wish they'd go to some more obscure ones, or ones that aren't just news (like there are some more academic ones where creators talk about certain issues in comic books and the industry. Those are the ones I'd go to if I ever went).
