  Since the release of Halo: Reach, I've really found new love for the Halo mythos. I found it kind of hard to get into the story simply because I found it incredibly hard to relate to the Chief beyond "Man, he's a badass!" But in learning more about how it began, the backstory, I'm coming to understand just where all the popularity is coming from.
