Heavy Ink, baby! (Okay, so it's mostly my girlfriend who buys the comics, but that's where she goes.)

I love the local comic shop, and I'm much more likely to find something I want if I'm browsing in person. Being able to see exactly what you'll be buying makes a huge difference for determining condition of old comics, and for deciding if I like the art style of a new comic book (some are just a bit too out there for me - I'm a traditionalist, so color between the lines!).
