Cuz, you did go for a groin kick on a ten ton robot. 1

I’m sorry Power Girl, but you’re not making any sense. Ted Kord shot himself! Lex Luthor hijacked the Omac Project! This Max Lord character you’re talking about doesn’t exist! Everyone here at Comicvine knows this. You’re probably still in shock from losing your company, your friend and having to fight your clone. But if you still insist on going on about this then go ahead in the pages of Power Girl #19. But I promises you PG, you’ll only find out that what I’m saying is true. Cover  There ...

I am such a badass 1

Breakouts and Arkham are two things tyhat usualy go hand in hand ( otherwise writes for all Batman titles would have to come up with new original villains every month ), but the idea of criminals breaking "in" to the assylum is so mind-boggaling that whoever came up with the idea should already be locked up in the assylum. guess who's NOT in this issue :)  But never the less that is exactly what Slade and his Titans have been doing in this storyline, and all to break out two inmates . Of course...

Last month we saw the launch ofa new Superboy title, following on from his adventures in adventure comics, with Coner Kents new life as Superboy in Smallville. The first issue introduced the new premis of the series with conner being told by the Phantom Stranger that his precence in Smallville will clamity to the town. We saw proof of this prediction as Parasite attacked Conner. But as soon as Conner was able to incopasitate the power drainer he, Simon ( his genious friend ) and Krypto ( the dog...

Stephanie truly realized gravity would forever be her enamy. 1

Well folks I think its easy to guess that life as a college student is a hard one, with all the tests, studying, partying and on-campus hooded cults chasing you for one reason or another. Now lets throw into this mix a secret, second life as a caped hero in Gotham ( and not a Palading in Wow ), and for the cherry on the cake lets imagine that you've just been accussed of murder. Now if your student life was / is nothing like that, than it seems like your experiances and Stephanie Browns are comp...

So then boys and girls, I hope youv'e all been paying some close attention to your continuity alarms, otherwise this is going to be a little ( understatment ) bit dificult. So in the last issue of Adventure comics ( #520 ) we saw the end of the "early legion tales" run with the extension of the death of lightning lad story told back in the early 60's. This issue takes place in the currnet Legion of Super-heroes time line, and run's paralel to the other legion title, with the beginning of this is...

Try not to wet the bed 0

Hey there boys and girls, who wants to answer a trivia question?..... O.k. here it goes. "Who's only just a meter tall, got a bad attitude, has a chip on his shoulder and dressed up as Little Matches at halloween?"..... O.k. pencils down. If you'r answer was Damian Wayne then you can move onto the next question ( for the rest of you, better luck next year ). Now pay attention, Damian Wayne+Teen Titans+((Krull+Scott+Hazelwood)x2) = 'X'. What is 'X'? If you calculated X=Teen Titans #89 than you ca...

No Nicco. Mama's pretty far from okay. 0

Do you remember Max Lord? He used to fund the justice league, and created Justice league internationals. He seemed like he was one of the good guy's, but then it turned out he wasn't. He killed a certain hero, and wanted to kill all of the others. He was then put out of his missery by Wonder Woman, and that was the last that we ever saw of him...... or so we thought. After blackest night came Brightest day, and with it the revival of 12 DC characters from the grave, one of them being Max. The JS...

So legionners, have you placed you'r votes for the next  leader.... i did............ it was fun. So here we have Legion of super-heroes #7.Compaired to the rest the main story's not that well depicted but never the less a nice read. So just to let you catch up. Lightning lad and Saturngirl left to spend time with the Kids ( after the crazy adventure ), Cos decidesd to starat a new legion...

Writing a review of Batman Incorpirated issue#1 is like trying to hide an elaphant behind a hand-towel. Try as you might everyone see's it. We knew the concept of this series months before it came out, and months before bruce even returned to the current timeline. So for all of you who've been locked up in your own batcaves, or fortresses of solitude ( mines the blanket castle of sleep ) this is what we know so far? Well Bruce died, but didn't die but just fell through time. Dick Became Batman a...

That was no lady-- that was one of thoes weirdo soldiers! 0

Well folks, if you grew up reading comics in the 70's you probably would have picked up "green lantern & green arrow", "The Avengers", "The Justice League of America" or even "Archie". But whatever you read I wouldn't be suprised if you hadn't heard of the short lived "Karate Kid" series which had a total of 15 issues. Karate Kid was a member of "the Legion of Super-Heroes" who oparated in the 30th centurey, and was known for being the only team member to possess no super powers. This series...

They call me "superboy"--? That'll be news to Conner. 2

Red Robin #17 seem's to be the end of Tim's check list hunt ( his whole "where to live, what to do, who to do it with" thing ) and the unofficial beginning of the "batman incorparated" series ( as you could see from the small "batman incorparated" title above the big "red robin" one ).   So the issue starts in Hong Kong where a mugging is happening, when suddenly an old fan favouret of the batfamily decidesd to make her unofficial re-appearance into the DC univerce ( i'll give you a clue, she to...

Now im finding it quite difficult to start this review because i just want to jump right into it and talk about the first 3 pages, whihc i usualy wait untill the second paragraph to do. So we have a new batgirl story which brings in some small elaments from previous stories, but also explains enough for anyone to understand the jist of things. We have Dustin Nguuyen as the new penciler for this issue ( whihc i will get into later ) and now we have me going in on to talk about the story. :)  So t...

*blinks* well..... this series suddenly got better..... well better than it previously was. So Titans #29 continues were the last issue left off with out rag tag band of broken villains left in the middle of Arkahm in a mission to releas a certain inmate when suddenly all the cell door's opened releasing all of the inmates. Deathstroke took this opertunity to acomplish a secondary task of breaking another prisoner out, Allegra Gracia, when suddenly, crashing through the roof comes Dick Grason a....

WOW :o ! Superboy Issue number 1! I'd be the first to admit that i jumped on the Superboy band wagon kind of late ( the wagon was already rolling away, and i was being draged with it by my shoe laces ) with the closing issues of his story with the revival of Adventure Comics. But even in thoes few pages that i had he seemed like a great character. He then appeared in the Teen Titans run during one of it's worst creative times ( and ive stated that, alot ) and wasn't properly displayed as a prope...

Adventure comics #520. The first to die... If you couldn't guess by the title alone, or even the cover art, a legionear has died. So we continue the trend of current legion adventures in Adventure comics which take place in the late 30th centurey and tell us of the early adventures and problems of the legion of super-heroes.  As this issue, as well as the past few issues, are re-telling the events leading up to ( and after ) Adventure comics #304 ( 1963 ) we don't see the events of the death of ...

*looks to the left*. *looks to the right*. *Rubbs eyes, and blinks quickly in disbelife*. A good Teen Titans book. HURRAY, HUZAR, anything els which displays great joy that begins with the letter "H". The last time i gave a teen titasn book a high ratting was issue #79 ( which was my first review )  which seemd to focus more on one character in particular rather than the whole team. But now after 8 boring, dull, mind numbingly bad issues, 2 stories and 1 creative team later we have finaly return...

So the JSA 80-Page giant of 2010 final comes out, and as it says on the cover "7 tales of the JSA by Todays top talebt!". So 7 stories. YAY!   The first story revolves around Todd a.k.a Obsiden and his partner Damon looking to adopt a child and the woman overseeing the documents asking Todd what his background and ocupation are, which the then turns into Obsiden and proclaims "so here it is, the not so secret origerns of Obsiden!". So in short the 1st story is the origens of Obsiden which if you...

Titans #28 continues the idea of the "villains for higher" team. Has this concept been utilized to it's fullest extent. ummmmm, no, not really. Has the introduction of Arsenal, former Hero Titan, to the team changed things up much. Ummm, once again no, not really. I don't think that the searies is bad, as there are many other searies out there that have been worse, but i don't think that it's utalized the potential in it's team concept of Villains for higher and it, in my opiniond, brought in Ar...

So in Adventure comics #518 we were re-introduced to Zaryan the war lord during the early days of the legion of super-heroes and superboy. The last issue revolved around Dream girl having a vision of a darkness that would soon fall on the legion, and using her poweres to scare superboy into returning to the past.  So Adventure comics#519 has 2 stories, the first starts with Chamelean-boy, Shrinking Violet and Invisible Kid infultrating one of Zaryan's robot transporters with chameleon boy clami...

If anyone can remeber ( or be bothered to try and pretend to remeber ) me previosu reviews of teen titans ( about 4/3 issues ago ) i kept on repeating the same things. Coloure is repetative, the story is ungrippoing and bland and the characters a shell of their selfs. This issue is pretty much the same, except it marks the end of the current writting team and the end of both the current Wyld story ark and coven of 3 second feature.   So the team finaly reach raven in the wylds world and face dow...

Recently ( in a JSA/JLA tie in story ark ) a large fragment of the star heart crashed on earth and took controll of Allan Scott, the original green lanters who's powers come from a very small fragment of the star heart. Adventure Comics #518 takes us forward to the 31st century in which the Legion of Super-heroes oparate. Like other issues of the Legion Adventure comics the stories are not, in a sence, self contained but are tales of events that happened inbetween the first stories of the legion from Adventure comics first run ( this one is set before Adventure comics #304 which came out in 1963 with the legion second feature "The stolen super-powers" ).   The issue startes with the Legion ( led by cosmic boy )...

Jason Todd, the second Robin and BAtmans greatest falier. We know how he died in "Death in the Family" and we kow that he came back from the dead in "Under the red hood". But what happend in those inbetween years? that is the question thats trying to be awnsered in this mini series. JSA #39, Wow! what could you say against that. It had everything, action drama, suspence... it was brilliant, and now this JSA #40 fineshes the story by packing it up with a nice little bow. And its great. The cover is an altercation to isse #29, and now as of this issue the history of the team has chaged ( a bit ).  At the end of 39 we saw how Mister Terific had placed the plan of ending a message back to himself to warn his past self of the 4rth Reichs plan, and Kid Karnevil. Ok, i'm going to put it bluntly. I do not like this story so far......., ok that sounds a bit cruel so maby i should explain. The last story, "static going home" ( teen titans issues 79 - 82 ) was borring IMO, but i read through it because the first part of that story in issue 79 was fantastic. It outshone the rest and made me want to read the following issues to see what was going to happen, sure the other 3 issues were a let down, but i was hooked. This story? not so much. So here we have 'Titans Villains for hire', the special, brightest day tie in which introduces us to the new Titans team, and their main objective. What is their objective? no idea. Why are they called the Titans? because Slade says so, and no body disagrees with the guy who could take on the entire justice leage by himself, and survive! Now the last Titans series didnt exactly blow peoples mindes ( i should know.... i bough them). They were more, or at least the final issues were, of a study of...

It's been a tough year for Tim. Before this he was Robin, leader of the teen titans and the symbol for all young heroes. Ok, ive never writen a review befor about the JSA, and it seems strange to start now in the middle of a story ark, but this story ark is so good that i thought that this issue needed recognition ( i forgot to do the other ones ).
