Berserker Barrage (Chp 1)
A pale young girl with long black hair and in gray pajamas stared at the sun through a very dense and coated window from her room. She does not sleep during the night, she was strange girl who practiced black magic, drank animal blood, and is 3, 500 years old. Well she wasn’t ordinary person, she was a vampire, you know like the ones from interview from the vampire...not those gay books or films like twilight series as she claimed. As she stood by under the moonlight, remembering her life over the years. She was a daughter of nobleman; he tried to protect his family against the evils of the world. A vampire named Keizer Purge took those words as challenge. So one day Deacon and group of vampires stormed this man’s house and killed everyone within the house. Sparing the youngest child, Alma or Alena Wander He saw potential in her and he turned her into a vampire. Years pass as she stayed with her maker, killing anyone she wanted. Until 1945, she was captured by the American government and since forced to work with government hunting vampires and other demonic creatures. It was until the knowledge of the X-27 energy was discovered, is when she made public appeared in the world. Code-named "Twilight", they gave her this name so that people could feel comfortable with vampires. A loud ringing filled her room as well as bright red lights interrupted her woolgathering. Since she was part of the original team and was the only one left, she was made leader of the new team. And when the red lights started to flash, they were being called.
Once she left her room, it was exposed that seemed to be underground army base as soldiers stood guard. However due to the red lights, they quickly moved toward the command center. While She moved the opposite way. Slightly intimated by her presence as they moved away from her, fearing her. She made her way to what it seemed to be a large vault with red writing on it "Weapon XIII". She opened the massive door with ease as she entered where it showed a large blue-ish, gray, male about 6’8, shirtless, muscular built, sporting gym shorts, and had a spiky hair dew. He was lying on a massive bed. The male had his eyes closed as he was listening to music with one of those big black DJ headphones. His eyes were closed, as he listened to the music. His room was a mess; clothes and empty boxes of pizza covered the floor of the room. She looked upward and noticed that he destroyed the red light alarm. And that his headphones were blocking out the ringing noise from the alarm. The he young looking vampire quickly slapped his soul pless as he gushed out oxygen from his lungs. After he regained some oxygen, he quickly turned toward her and he quickly took off his headphones and faced her. He was rubbing his gut.
" What the hell ALMA?" He screamed, as he looked her. "I thought we agreed that you would not do that or go in my room this late unless it was emergency. I don’t hear no sirens! So this better not… ” Before he could finish, she quickly punched his throat; he coughed and grabbed his throat as he tried to regain his oxygen. To most people, it would kill them especially what power and speed that little body held. Luckily for Berserker, this was only a painful inconvenience to him. Berserker was an interesting being. He was new guy on the team. He joined eight months ago, he was an average guy who absorbed a great deal of the X-7 energy and became a living battery of it. The energy also manipulated is body and made him into a hulking beast. The abilities that are known about him is that he can he has incredible strength, endurance, and healing abilities that can increase when he gets angry and his body produces more X-7 energy. However due to all of this he became a lazy, cocky smart@$$. A person, who could level mountains with ease if he wanted too, was afraid of a 5’2 girl. She kept him in check, as well as his moral standings.
She looked at him and spoke to him.” It is an emergency lazy ass, you can’t hear the sirens because you have that damn Lady Gaga crap on full volume. And you destroyed the red light in your room to tell you that if there is an emergency. So shut up and listen for once you dumb@$$ ."
He looked toward her as his eyes turned blue for a moment, quickly vanished as he got his air back and sighed. " Fine talk, what’s happening? I will listen if you don’t hit me anymore”, he whispered as he rubbed his throat.
“We have to go to the command center. Now! “ She howled as he quickly got dressed and followed her down the long empty halls of the base. Where eventually they arrived in a room surrounded by computers. Once large TV screen came down from the ceiling and showed an old general on the tv.
“Good evening team. I apologize for the late meeting. But we have some trouble in Libya. Some “supers” are causing trouble down there. And we want you guys to deal with them as soon as possible. We want it quick and clean. So I am sending Alma, Berserker, and Black Mesa. By the way where is Mesa?” The general looked around in the room. Where suddenly a black symbiotic creature moved through the cracks from under Berserker and Alma. Eventually it came to form dark creature with no face. The creature eventually changed its shape and transformed itself into a man wearing a lab coat. The general shriek, “Jesus!” as he saw the figure come together. This did not stun Alma or Berserker in any manner. The figure bowed his head the general.
“My apologies General. I was busy at the hospital wing. Some soldiers were suffering from Ebola virus from our last mission in South Africa. I was eliminating the disease when I heard the alarms. They were a priority. You must understand.” It sated as he looked at Alma and Berserker and gave them a wave with its hand. Berserkers nodded his head greeting his ally. Mesa was a super intelligent alien virus/parasite that eliminated all living beings of Mars some time ago. Its guilt in eliminating entire race put itself into exile where eventually it was brought to earth from some astronauts to help humanity against the X-7 outbreak some years ago.
The general nodded his head when he heard Mesa’s excuse. “Good. Well when you’re finished with helping to those brave soldiers. I want you assist Berserker and Alma in a mission. It turns out we have an old enemy who is creating a “super” riot in Libya. So far he has close 70 ‘supers” on his side. They are going to overthrow the government. “ He sated.
Berserker replied. “So who is it? Omeron? Hyperius? The Witch? Cause if memory serves I killed them and that’s’ all of our “old” enemies.” He joked as he looked at the screen. The general sighed and replied back to berserker’s statement.
“Its Keizer Purge.” The general stated. When suddenly everyone faced toward Alma. Alma looked at them. “What? It’s not that big of a deal. Sure he turned me into a vampire. But he isn’t tough. I should have killed him years ago.” She stated before she looked down and whispered to herself. “I should have…..” Mesa and Berserker quickly looked back at the screen. And Berserker moved his eyes facing the other side of the room. “So I noticed you got a new candy machine over there. It has M&Ms. Nice.” He tried to break the ice that was felt in the room. But it just felt to death’s ears. The meeting ended and in hour later Berserker, Alma, and Mesa were on a plane to Libya.
