@hyperlight:

The Claw is over 90% Nth Metal, with ornamental amounts of gold, rubies, sapphires, emeralds, and silver. The Pharaoh's weaponsmiths and goldsmiths produced not only a powerful weapon for their kings arsenal, but a beautiful piece of art as well (see "Google Images" for more details).

@hyperlight:

The Claw of Horus is a gauntlet that covers the hand all the way up to the mid-bicep that allows its wearer to focus the Earth's entire magnetic field directly in front of its knuckles and release that energy upon impact with its wearers target. IIRC=If I Remember Correctly.

@genghis:

During the "WWIII" storyline, Black Adam was under a lot of stress and was unusually enraged/unreasonable to deal with. Even more than normal. Despite this, his former teammates in the JSA (Hawkman included) sought to talk to and if possible reason with him to stop the rampage he was on at that time. Hawkman's mindset at that time was to try and talk some sense into Black Adam and hopefully coax him back into more heroic ambitions as he (Black Adam) had become something of an anti-hero during his tenure with the JSA, not to mention the fact that thousands of years earlier, Black Adam served Hawkman as Mighty Adam back when Hawkman was still Pharaoh Khufu. Alas, it didn't go as planned. Hawkman didn't bring his nets, daggers, the Claw of Horus, or his other bladed weapons to that conflict. Just the mace. He only struck him with it a few times while trying to talk it out, hence his taking some brutal shots in the process. Since the mace is a blunt force weapon, it did not cut through BA like butter (though it has knocked the teeth out of the mouth of people as powerful as Despero, so take what you can from that information...)

My contention was that if like the OP says, Hawkman has intel on Juggernaut and has his full equipment, he could duplicate Shatterstar's accomplishments in an even more grand fashion. Because while Shatterstar stopped his attack long enough for Mr. Marko to heal from his wounds, Hawkman (who is much stronger, faster, and FAR better trained than our Mojoverse refugee) could dance around Juggernaut scoring hits with bladed weapons designed from scratchto ruin a magic user's day. He could ram Nth Metal dagger after Nth Metal dagger in between Jugg's 1st & 2nd vertebrae and his Thoracic vertebrae, into both his Achilles tendons, his hamstrings, his eyes, etc.. and leave them there while continuously and simultaneously slashing away at him with the worst of intentions. Just like Carbonadium bullets in the Marvel Universe all but disables healing factors until they are removed and taken far away from the victim, having Nth Metal daggers imbedded into vital areas all around his body (and we all know that Juggernaut is not known for his dexterity, so he might remove a few, but he won't remove them all) would be a crippling method of attack for Hawkman to utilize here. Juggernaut would find that the magic he relies on would be quickly fading fast, and that the Nth Metal would be continually buffering if not totally negating any further incoming magic from the Crimson Cosmos. Hawkman would be free to dismember Juggernaut at his leisure at that point, because if he couldn't even touch Shatterstar, Hawkman would present a considerable challenge to him.

This is what I was thinking. A friend of mine told me that he once forced the blood in her arms back toward her heart to keep her from beating him to death. Is that true, or do I need to take this guy to the woodshed for lying to me?

@russellmania77:

She wouldn't need to because unlike earlier in her career, she no longer has to take on the physical appearance of an animal to receive its proportional power increase or attribute. She can maintain a human appearance and still actualize their abilities on a split seconds notice. Hence, since she's the one who's got 10 minutes prep (if she decides to use it), and she can duplicate every animal that has EVER lived on the Planet Earth, in the Mythological realms, or extra-terrestrials, she has WAYYY too many weapons at her disposal to effortlessly dispatch Dr. McCoy before he ever knew what hit him. And it pains me to say it because I like both of these characters (Beast is one of my top 5 favorite X-Men of all time, but he's outclassed here).

@inconvenient_truth:

Lol! Nth Metal is one of the most versatile substances in fiction, but it's functionality and usefulness (unfortunately) is not as well known to as many as it should be. I hope I've remedied that in my own way.

@hellionvulcan: Mystical weapons that can hurt Cain have to penetrate his force field first making it even more useful

....I invite you to read over some of my earlier postings. In them i've said (among other things) that Nth Metal has no enchantments. At all. It is instead the "Carbonadium and/or Kryptonite" of the magical world if that helps you any. I said that the Juggernaut could win this match up if Hawkman gets reckless, sloppy, or complacent. I said that the Juggernaut would do every thing in his power to prevent the kind of damage Hawkman can do to him with his weapons combined with his skill level. It's all there starting on page 1 on forward. For right now though, I think its important to point out something. We all know that Marko's helmet provides him with near total psionic immunity. Some telepaths are powerful enough to attack and/or communicate from continential distances away. That helmet will block out the mental attack/mind probe either by the energy signature it gives off interfering with the psionic waves, the composition of whatever substance the helmet is made of, or some combination of the two. You understand this, and would probably tell me this if I was unaware of that fact.

So why is it so hard to relate Nth Metal's inherant quality of giving off an energy signature just like Kryptonite, Carbonadium, Volatile Promethium, or even Uranium to use a real life example. How does the very quality ingrained into the substance that makes the magical energy it encounters either flee, get absorbed, or get short circuited not be a HUGE factor here? You see, Marvel does itself a huge disservice calling him "depowered Juggernaut". No, he's "less powered Juggernaut" because all his feats as "depowered" were as a result of residual energy left in his body after being Juggernaut for years. Depowered Juggernaut was Cain Marko BEFORE he read the inscription in that Korean cave. That guy was a regular human of regular size. The so-called depowered guy in those scans still had considerable mystical powers to perform those feats, and a bladed Nth Metal weapon would treat him like peanut butter. Please read some of the earlier posts when you get a chance. I'm logging off for now, cause a brotha needs his sleep. But i'll respond to any replies in the A.M.
