man oh man i've been binging on Fallout 4 for the last week and i cannot describe to you how much i want a Fallout comic series, the universe seems to have everything a great comic series needs, plenty of unique storytelling opportunities, interesting unexplored history, great visual content, and a fair dose of humor. The whole Fallout aesthetic is just too perfect... shit, even a series just focusing on Nick Valentine would be incredible. you guys think Fallout will cross the media border into comic book land?

i love the DC animated universe so much D': i think it might be one of the best things DC has ever done, the movies, Justice League Unlimited, Young Justice... (and i really loved the f out of the early Teen Titans show, as far removed from the DC universe as it was)
anyways, i was wondering if there were any good comic series in the vein of Justice League Unlimited or Young Justice, i think a series that focuses on short stories with a very large roster of characters like JLU would be awesome, and something that focuses more on the people and group dynamics like Young Justice did would also be great to read.
I'm currently reading Justice League... and i have all of the Teen Titans tpb's starting with the 2003 series... but neither are hitting the spot... so to speak, any suggestions for me to pick up?

i think the only way that superhero's can translate to a mainstream adult audience that doesn't follow them is by either being very dark and serious and "realistic" or by being fun and comedic... Marvel has already gone the fun route and DC experienced massive success with Nolan's dark, gritty and semi-plausible Batman... so it only makes sense they would try to continue that direction.

I think the funny thing about the whole deal is that the more the movies start to feel like comics... the more people like them. I read an article somewhere on superheroes only being believable BECAUSE they're so outlandish and strange. You watch the DC animated shows and you're whisked right in, no trouble, but the live action stuff they're afraid to even say "superman"
i think eventually we'll get movies that are nearly shot-for-shot remakes of the comics, and people will absolutely love them. A good story is a good story, no way around that.

@supremegeneration: I mean who would have guessed that someone in a forum about reading comics would actually read something?

@antithetical: man don't worry about seemingly illiterate people on the internet, its mostly just twelve year olds and old people that haven't learned to type properly yet.
