I'm looking forward to it. I read "Comic's Greatest World" up to the Predator attacks in "Agents of LAW" and I always thought it was a universe worth returning to. I wonder if they're gonna touch on the plot point about the power of dead heroes transferring to whoever is nearby in the new books, though? It'd sure be a Hell of a way of shaking up the status quo of superhero stories...

AS if I didn't feel stupid already for buying a Lifetime subscription before realizing how dull the game is...

Because she's her own hero. She survived the Crisis, she survived the Atlantean thing, she basically created herself from scratch and stands in no one's shadow, from her first appearance up through the end of her last solo book. She's fucking AWESOME.

Even if she has no fashion sense. :D

Technically, the Corps are already analogues to most of the Seven Deadly Sins:
Red=Wrath
Orange=Greed
Green=Pride (besides, excessive pride is often referred to as "willfulness")
Blue=Sloth (The Blue Lantern ring is little more than a life-support system without a Green ring around)
Indigo=Envy (Considering the Indigo Tribe's main schtick is copying other Lanterns' powers)
Violet=Lust (Have you SEEN their uniforms..? Plus, there's the whole "Predator" thing...the term is often used in conjunction with sex crimes, after all)

The only ones that don't match up are Yellow and Gluttony, really...I SUPPOSE, though, if you stretched things a bit, you could make these changes:
Orange=Gluttony
Yellow=Greed (Using fear to control whole sectors, as is Sinestro's typical deal)

@Mechanical_Ape: My only real problem is that I was put on a forced 10-year fast from comics, and the X-Men (indeed, the 616-Universe PERIOD) I've returned to is completely insa-...I mean, the status quo is SO different from what I remembered that I'm pretty much lost as to HOW I can do anything with these guys. It seems like they'd be a natch for a smaller, younger group, like the old New X-Men group, or I suppose these days it'd be the Young Allies or Avengers Academy, but, again, I'm kinda running to catch up on the constant upheavals.

@velle37: Yeah, I discovered that after I posted...kinda stupid, I know, but I didn't find him during my research because they called him "KID Lantern" instead of "Teen Lantern." I kinda like the rhyme/pun in the latter name, though.

Think about it: "seventh smartest person" aside, his intelligence is definitely played as far more of a bona-fide super power than his "peers," even requiring fuel in order to operate at the level of the other superhero geniuses. While this could be chalked up as a simple affectation due to his age, the way it works in-universe does seem to place it closer to Sage's "computer brain" than true super-intelligence...although the downside means he'd risk getting spirited away to Utopia.

Thoughts?
