This plot device has been the vain for arguments that gone way too long. Does this machine suppose measure aura? It can blow up when it over loads which may show how awesome the character is but how do people live with that? I mean if any of Frieza's family have an emotional moment and ask for everyone attention then all those scouters would have been broken.
How are they able to detect magic? I guessing by possibility they found one planet that has it. That does not explain dragon balls and have shortcut to primary detect them.

I only said that Gohan has strongest form. Character’s strength varies on the subject strength. It can be Mental, physical which is we are measuring, motivational performance etc. As for deserve it is writer's and drawer's choice.

Most of us in the west have yet see the next super mode. We can make usual assumptions from the past forms. The latest movie already said to have one error of putting Gohan in super sayein instead of his unlock inner power form. They said to have fixed it when it gets dubbed.

Hey it is better than a protagonist that constantly whining. What kind of escapism is that? It reminds me of scene on the movie Last Action Hero line car crashing with taxi cab. The hero will still do something awesome despite the odds even if reality ensues. Heck they will use reality physics as an educational lesson of doing something awesome.
Yeah the spirit bomb is not that effective once goku turns into super sayein forms. I had hoped that talk about super sayein god mode in the next movie was actually a kaiyoken mode or goku's full potential. If it is then Goku will not be angry which means no negative energy. No negative energy means he can do the spirit bomb without fading.
I had talk of combination which spirit bomb absorb in Super Sayein form then kamihameha but that seems risky. it is a way but he has to do it instantly. this can be done with dragon fist which has been scene in the Budaki games. Either way the other method full potential and spirit bomb will do better.
