I am glad, you seem more confident when doing these now. May be it was the two down to one thing that you were adjusting to. The only creative criticism I can give you, is something I suffer from as well (may be that is why I don't video review) is the "Ums". The pauses and ums I only really noticed during the Superboy review, but you finished so strong that if I was not looking for that "creative criticism" I may have missed it.
I agree with you. The white backgrounds seem unfinished to me. I know it is supposed to make the viewer focus on the character, but I always feel like penciling in the background. I agree with you that Lyra being introduced into Earth-616 continuity with a certain degree of naivete is interesting to see. It allows readers to watch her grow from the perspective of complete stranger. In the case of I, Zombie, I too have noticed that the cover art is significantly better than the actual art. Can you imagine the length of time it would take some artists to draw entire series with their fabulous art. One good example of delicious art saturating an issue is I Am An Avenger. If Marvel's writers were to give subplots to characters not crucial to the main storyline, it would definitely give fans AND their favorite characters a chance to shine. I loved that you referenced Birds of Prey for doing that so well.
