Favourite Characters

A List including many of my favourite Comic Book characters. There is a basic order, but only the first 4 are definite.

List items

  • My all time favourite character. Words do not describe. Snarky, hilarious and brave. Hawkeye is a fantastic character. He clashes well with Steve Rogers, and adds more than just another blank slate to the Avengers.. At least before Bendis.

  • Kitty was and is the highlight of the X-Men. Brilliant mind with a great personality. Even her recent portrayal has been good, but I can't wait until she gets more of the limelight!

  • Another all time favourite. Whilst reading Avengers I found this character. Now I get to read her all of the time in Avengers Academy. I can tell something is on the horizon for her, I can't wait! Incredibly smart, interesting and by far the coolest robot ever. Sorry R2-D2.

  • No-one can beat the Princess of the Amazons. She is strong and beautiful, a wonderful role model. Although her character varies upon the writer. I am interested to see how the new 52 changes her for better or for worse...

  • Selena has been a favourite of mine for a while now. She is a sassy, intelligent woman with nothing to lose. Her relationship with Batman is great to read too, and I am fascinated by how it will evolve now that it has started over.

  • This Temptress of Probability was great to read on the original Avengers. Watching her powers, and her personality grow over the issues. Her Impact on the MU was also such a great story. Now, she is back, feeling remorseful and sorry. I see a hopeful future for Wanda.

  • She-Hulk is wonderful happy character who was a great addition to the regular Avengers team. Another classic favourite.

  • Tigra, a feline fatale who struggled with the balance of cat in her system. Greer's cat-like qualities gave life into the West Coast Avengers. now, she returns in Avengers Academy, portrayed perfectly! Not to mention her child!

  • The Joker is by far my favourite villain. A brilliant, twisted mind to combat Batman. How will he go in the new 52? Hmmm...

  • V! The amazing and fantaculous star of the V for Vendetta story. The entity which is V is entertaining witty and, for lack of a better word, AWESOME!

  • I first saw this character in the old Avengers series married to Namor. A kind and misunderstood character, Marrina had interesting powers and is worthy to be here. Also, her recent incarnation has been fascinating. From being a quiet and lonesome character to a punk fiend. No matter what, I love her!

  • My Favourite speedster who wasn't afraid of using his powers to become a celebrity! Northstar is constantly making the books he is in great. Having him as an arrogant fool, or a kind hearted hero, he brings character to every story.

  • The new Bat in town. After a painful childhood, Kate still manages to hold her care for the people of Gotham.

  • Although I am new to his world, Batman intrigues me, not to mention the great stories and rogue gallery.

  • This little fuzzy elf had a kind heart and a strong spirit. I know him best from Excalibur, where he had a crush, how adorable!

  • There are many reasons why I like Storm, but the original was of course her powers, whats cooler than controlling thunder and lightning? I would like to see a bit more of her!

  • One of my old favourites. He featured in my first ever comic book, along with Hawkeye and another bunch on Avengers, not to mention his original blade of ebony which had such interesting characteristics.

  • Dazzler's peppy personality is always a nice change from some of the other dreary characters in the X-Men. Plus she has some Kick-Ass powers!

  • The more interesting brother of Cyclops. One of my favourites from the 80's X-Men. I am so happy he is back!

  • Another co-founder of Excalibur, Meggan always put up with whatever was thrown her way, a true fighter.

  • The original Vision, a mainstay of the Avengers really grew on me, a Synthetic Human who just wanted to be treated like a normal person.

  • The original Batgirl, and now CURRENT Batgirl! Wowee, Babs is back and taking back her mantle! I hope it all works out.

  • An old favourite, Warlock's powers and abilities are great, alongside his always interesting entourage.

  • The leader of the same named Lantern Corps, Indigo has proven to be strong-willed and powerful.

  • Crystal, the quiet Inhuman elemental fitted the Avengers nicely during its 90's run. She doesn't get cut much slack, but I always loved her. It may have been due to my addiction to the 4 elements power-set...

  • The Queen on the Mutants. The definition on Psychic. Jean Grey did a lot in her time/s. I can't wait 'til she is back, hopefully with a nice story as opposed to apocalyptic mayhem.

  • The Mother of the Avengers. the Wasp, like all of the Classic has a place in my heart. I cannot wait until she is brought back. Janet is missed... Really missed!

  • The clone of Jean. For some reason I just love her!

  • Domino! With luck as a power, I loved her as soon as I saw her in comics! Turned out 'she' was Copycat, nevertheless, she is fantastic!

  • Yet another daughter of Magneto, her relationship with Havok is one of my favourites in comics. Not to mention Her personality and power-set!

  • Another classic X-Man! ALthough i quite dislike his old incarnation, I loved him on both the X-Men AND the old Avengers. He suited both teams well.

  • A kick-ass psychic Ninja. Psylocke has grown on me. I love all of her incarnations, and love what Remeneder is doing with her in Uncanny X-Force.

  • Another awesome member of Uncanny X-Force. After he debut in New X-Men, I liked the character. After his debut in Uncanny X-force, I loved that character. He is something different I believe. His powers always trick me, and he is completely full of surprises.

  • As I do V, I love Evey.

  • I loved Dinah on Simones BoP. As I did Huntress. But how will she be in the new 52? Undoubtedly fantastic as usual!

  • Huntress has a spot in my heart now. Seeing her prepared to take of Lady Shiva was enough to make me like her. Fascinated about her spot in the new 52.

  • Another old favourite. Sometimes Mockingbird is a bit of a 'square'. As in, she can often be portrayed as boring and un-unique. However, in comics lake the West Coast Avengers, Mockingbird was everything she should be.

  • Yet ANOTHER old favourite Avenger. Photon, or Captain Marvel as I know her was an interesting character. Some charm about her made me like her!

  • I don't know this character very well, but I think she is fantastic. Nuff' Said?

  • Another X-Woman. I was never sure of all the hype with Rogue. I am still unsure of it, nevertheless, Rogue is evolving (in my eyes) as a truly great character. I would love to read some more of the old stuff with her.

  • One of my favourite members of the Young Avengers. Hulkling has an interesting heritage, interesting powers and interesting personality.

  • Hawkbird. Another character from the young Avengers that I adore. Not only because she is a Mini-Hakweye, but because she is a bit different. I generally don't like the 'government-type' but she shows interests in everyone's wellfare.

  • The daughter of late Scott Lang (now not so late) was immediately lovable. She is so Innocent, but strong... A mixture of personality.

  • Another favourite Young Avenger. being one of my favourite characters sons, and having similar powers is just to cool!

  • Another original Avenger. Hank has switched through so many caped-identities, it is hard to keep up. For a time I disliked Hank, mainly for what he did to his wife, but then I forgave him. It seems like all he is ever trying to do now is make up for what he did.

  • Probably my favourite student at Avengers Academy. She has an undeniable charm, awesome powers and a nice back-story.

  • An interesting character. A variable Goddess, her powers are amazing! She seems to be quite a hot-head (ironically), but also a core member of Alpha flight, often being one of the strongest members in a fight.

  • Machine Man has gone through a lot of changes. From being the kind, well, machine, to the beer crazed-humanlike robot, I like all versions of his character.

  • One of my favourite villains ever, Ultron earns his spot on the list.
