@hopesummersforthefuture: yea its alot I like with Hickman and alot I dislike. Even starting with the whole Moira X thing. It wasnt until someone else pointed it out that I remembered where a similar story was told. Some people think of the Harry August thing but I havent read that. Instead Dune did it better with some of the children having the memories of their ancestors. If this had been done with Moira in that she had the memories of lives of her ancestors in other itierations of the Marvel universe or in the multiverse it could explain away alot instead of leaving the question of how her reincarnation goes and whether it resets everything for everyone.
The other issue for me is Krakoa altogether. Just do Genosha and call it a day. Why is Krakoa working as an island all of a sudden.
Someone else mentioned that it seemed that this story was better suited to the Inhumans with the Terrigen crystals and all and I tend to agree come to think of it
I think Hickman is a good writer and architect. The problem besides a loss of all momentum due to Marvel being archaic when it came to Covid hurt the run. But also the go along get along we are the world attitude between the writers. I was interested in Hickmans story not the rest of the trash. Bringing along Tini Howard and Vita Ayala and even Gerry Duggan was the problem. Even in the book that Hickman was supposedly writing it didn't seem like him. In fact it feels like you can tell the issues Hickman wrote vs someone else
Not a fan of the whole Krakoa thing. We already had Genosha and Utopia so I say just keep it at those two. But it does seem alot like the Inhumans. Xmen should just go back to the mansion. Maybe have splinter group like Xforce or New Mutants or Generation X operating as a West Coast type team or separate from society in Utopia or Genosha or on a new Asteroid X space station
Not a real fan of Duggan the lineup is ok. But I really would like for one of these days to get back to the real story and stop with the half off happy hour appetizers
@marvelfan1992: hmmm well the lineup is ok. I know some people swear by Duggan but he's got to convince me because he's been very subpar and underwhelming. As for the format...I'd hoped we get off of all the delays and one issue per month and instead do biweekly but doesnt look that will happen.
