Thor is no longer a top tier powerhouse. Hulk will probably beat him up. Marvel writers do not care about those things anyway. Pre-2007 and on it was a debate, now it's clearly Hulk is the stronge...

LOL get ready for Thor to get an ass-whooping in this upcoming Thor/Hulk crossover.
-
Marvel doesn't respect them, or any other pantheon.

@asgaard: I've been on a break for nearly 10 years lol. Modern comic book storytelling is godawful and most of the industry's "creators" are creatively bankrupt. Even worse is the Disney-fication of...

Thor needs a reboot/relaunch and a writer who can write a perfectly well-crafted Thor/Asgard/Mythos story without every arch "re-defining" everything about the character, 'cause it ends up sucking ha...

Looks like a nightmare sequence.

Super-physical guys like Hulk and Gladiator and Sentry give him problems and if you couple them with elite-level magic users like Dr. Strange and Loki they can take him down. Silver Surfer too.

Quesada ushered in the "anything goes!" mantra. Though it was already en vogue after Shooter was banished.

I don't know how people continue to read this garbage. I value my hard-earned money, not dumping it on moronic retcons and horrible characterization all for the sake of plot.

Characterization doesn't matter in comic books anymore. Only plot does. For better or (usually) worse.

I don't mind Sif intervening in the fight as she cares for both, but the attitude with which she does is a bit juvenile. Would've been one thing to say something along the lines of "My King, I have ...
-
@phisigmatau: It all comes down to editorial discipline. Shooter was able to reign over, arguably, Marvel's greatest era in terms of consistency. Continuity was upheld pretty well. Sure, he ticked ...

The advent of the dumb Civil War and subsequent events have rendered villains as a sideshow much of the time. It's one thing for heroes to occasionally disagree or even have a physical confrontation...

That Galactus cover looks pretty sweet.

Someone wielding the Necro Sword? No idea. Haven't read a comic in some years. I'm debating on picking up this new team's run. The art looks nice, though.
-
@asgardianweapon: Not really. Not anymore. They went with the more MCU-ish explanation of them being some sort of advanced alien race with futuristic technology and super powers since around 2010 or...

Mythological/Fantasy. Push the more mystical/supernatural/magical aspect of the Norse Gods. There was an interesting nugget during (of all people) Fraction's run where Thor went to get the god-seed...
-
@lazarus4tempest: It's a character/IP that has a very successful film franchise and is one of the staple characters in the publishing division, Thor isn't going anywhere. If the current stories aren'...

The easiest and most cost effective way to show displeasure is to not buy the comics.
