@dum529001: I believe Nylonase was a frameshift mutation but I could be wrong. I don't really understand what you are trying to say. Mutations create new genes all the time.

This is a simple explanation that should give you a basic understanding of both the definitions and the processes that lead to novel characters in organisms and ultimately to the process of evolution as a whole http://genetics.thetech.org/ask/ask358

@dum529001: As it turns out new genes are formed all the time from the relics of old genes. My first example is a simple one. The production of nylonase a modification of an existing gene perhaps, but functional, a new unique process that over time will become further diversified from it's parent gene.

You see not only do we understand where new genes come from we have observed it happening in the real world. Another great example comes from the cold oceans of the Antarctic. With a gene duplication (a fairly common form of mutation) of a protein that was used for digestion that had a slight anti-freeze property certain fish were able to adapt to the increasing cold of the antarctic. Over time that duplicated protein became specialized for it's antifreeze properties. The relation is written in the DNA, these fish gained a new gene for producing an antifreeze compound.

what does "Campy" mean ?

I did some quick research and camp originally comes from the french prase "se camper" or to pose in an exaggerated fashion. until the 1960's it was a generally derogatory term for homosexuals. Later it took on a more mainstream meaning of performing in an over the top way to the point where it creates a 'sophisticated amusement.' So an example of a campy scene would be one where the performer is being so over the top sad that it makes the audience laugh.

He could cut a pretty good promo in the WWE. I haven't seen any of his film acting but I put far more onus on the director than the actors for a performance. What I mean is a bad actor with a great director will give a good performance. A good actor with a bad director will give a poor performance. A great actor is one that can give a great performance with a bad director.

my guess is for the next 12-24 issues of Batman and Robin, it'll be team ups with the old Robins. after that either Damian returns or an established character takes the mantle.

PETA will get involved and protest the inhumane killing of a noble alien life. Xenomorphs have rights too.

All I see in the above photo is red Wolverine, ponytail Cable, purple Dazzler, brunette amputee Spiral (four arms instead of six) Bushman ass Bushman, and the silhouette (based off of this photo)v

is none other than Iron Monger with Iron eyebrows. I may be stretching some of these comparisons a bit but really that would be a crazy team up especially if they were all zombie vampire special agents.

This is pretty good. I love the camera angle. you might want to work on your anatomy though, I suggest checking out Burne Hogarth. He is the best.
