why did kaine have stingers? why did he keep his spider-powers when falling in a vat of anti-venom ooze when being just near venom cancels peter's powers? Ahhh. Forget it.

Looking forward to more kung-fu spider sense action. His experience can now be quantified and mark him as THE spider-man in a sea of scarlet spiders.

This reminds me of an addition to one of the issues of Invincible Iron Man where it shows a day in the life of Iron Man. He essentially sleeps 4 hours and has a 10 min lunch everyday, while fitting in fighting an average of two avengers threats and running Stark Resiliant.

@pspin:
 I agree, right now I'm assuming that Fear Itself takes place after Spider-Island, in the 10 min before another story arc
 begins.

@KainScion
: It seems to me that the Green Lantern series maintains the most consistant continuity. Are you thinking about the panel in new guardians where all the oan guardians are dead? If you are, that takes place years before GL #1.

Banner and Hulk in separate bodies? Didn't Dr. Strange try this already?

And then the Hulk was "mindless" and was almost captured by Doom or something horrible, with Banner leading the Hulkbusters. Only to realize that Banner and the Hulk would die if they didn't rejoin since they were the same person or soul or w/e.

I wonder if they're going to address this or just pretend like it never happened.

I agree that Emma has been shown to be a strong character and deserves more face time in the X-men issues, but to say that her character has taken a back seat due to Scott is the equivalent of saying that it's Scott's fault that Magneto is no longer a strong leader or even Charles.

And they're not in a relationship with Scott... to the best of my knowledge. None of these characters will be in the limelight unless they leave Scott's side (like Magneto's travels to aid Havok and to stop Legion), which Emma Frost seems to rarely do.

Regardless, when used correctly, Emma is still a good character with great internal development (Uncanny X-men 534, stopping Shaw) and I would love to see her branch out and take command once again.

But to have her leave Scott for the purpose of being a "Queen" again or be with Namor would betray the growth she has shown since Astonishing X-men.

What Emma needs is her own team to lead. Remember Dark X-Men? She showed that she still had what it takes to take risks and make the tough decisions. It was a brilliant plan and it wouldnt've worked without her.

As long as writers a focus on Emma's evolution, while avoiding her overwhemling insecurity at the thought of Jean or her vulnerability to Namors half-as$ed advances, she'll be able to make a comeback as a strong central character without having to do something as ridiculously dramatic as leaving Scott (a breakup like that would be alluded to everytime they cross paths and would just get annoying).

This would be a better answered after Spider-Island ends. And if "classic" Spider-man was better defined. Current Spider-Man received traing from Shang-Chi. But he would also fall off building while swinging due to spider-sense loss.

Spider-Island showed Peter Parker manhandling all other spiders when he applies his training.

With this I'd go with current Spider-Man. He loses round 4, but compensates in round 6, barely.

Minor Spoilers

I guess this completely negates supergirl's history from before the new 52?

Not sure if anyone noticed, but one of the voices that she hears when she first gets out of her ship is someone talking to Dick Grayson in Nightwing #1.

This Supergirl has no history with the JLA at all.

(this isnt a '5 years ago' story like Justice League #1)

The New 52 seems to have affected the Super family the most.
The GL comics just shrugged off the changes.
I'm ok with that, I follow GL the most anyway.

Despite having a healing factor, he was turned into a vampire himself but through clever planning by Cyclops, Wolverine was treated beforehand and they were able to turn off the vampire virus after he became a vampire.

I got a different understanding from Curse of the Mutants.
Cyclops didnt turn off the vampire virus in Curse of the Mutants 5,
he actually turned off Wolverine's healing factor earlier and then turned it back on in CoM #5
Wolverine then beat the virus on his own

So cyclops wouldnt be able to do the same for jubilee
