Banner is smarter and he's a massively proficient strategist when given the opportunity... He outsmarted T'Challa, Reed Richards, Tony Stark, Hank McCoy, Hank Pym, Dr. Doom, The Leader and M.O.D.O.K at the same time. Dr. Doom has stated twice to be jealous of Banner's mind.

Banner.

By a massive landslide.

Bruce Wayne hasn't done anything on par with Banner has done.

Look who's back from the dead! With no explanation at all! Of course, Marvel has no problem depowering and/or sidelining great characters like Skaar, Red Hulk, A-Bomb, Red She-Hulk and the Warbound... but bringing back a character who has been dead for years is apparently okay!

Yes, it appears that he is back thanks to Bendis and all the Secret Wars mumbo-jumbo that's thrown everything into flux.

The Hulks win.

WBH alone could contend with Thanos and Darkseid in 1-on-1 battle.

I recommend anything written by Stan Lee, Len Wein, Roger Stern, Bill Mantlo, Peter David and Greg Pak. There's some stuff of Bruce Jones, Paul Jenkins and John Byrne that are also worth looking into.

The world stands upon the brink of chaos. As friend stands against friend…which side with the world’s very first super hero land? Find out as Hercules storms the front lines in CIVIL WAR II: GODS OF WAR #1, coming to comic shops and digital devices this June! Writer Dan Abnett and artist Emilio Laiso bring Hercules directly into the conflict of the biggest comic event of the year. Could a God tip the scales in Captain Marvel or Iron Man’s favor?

“Herc is loyal”, says writer Dan Abnett in an interview with Marvel.com. “Picking a side for him is a simple thing. But when the sides aren’t good and evil, that troubles him. To him, a [Civil War II] kind of rift where heroes are in conflict with other heroes – he’s got friends on both sides, and friends or not, he recognizes them all as fellow heroes – is just plain wrong.”

As war grips the Marvel Universe, Hercules will ask himself – what role should a God play in the conflict of mortals? Is he responsible for a larger role in the potential destruction of the Marvel Universe? Or should he intervene and change history? Joined by fellow Gods Gilgamesh, Sigurd, Lorelei, Beowulf and Theseus – Hercules and his pantheon of ancient comrades charge headlong into battle. With the heart and soul of the Marvel Universe at stake – these immortal warriors could turn the tide for either team. But which side are they on?

The Gods march to war this June. Be there as the battle kicks off in CIVIL WAR II: GODS OF WAR #1!

Here are some of my own personal ideas, concepts and stories that I would explore if I were writing Hulk/Banner. It would have been most welcome if writers had bothered to explore this kind of territory with Banner/Hulk. Unfortunately, for us fans/readers, Marvel and most of their writers are more interested in pushing political, racial, religious, sexual preference or sexual gender based PR stunts than actually telling entertaining, solid works of fiction that further progress incredible characters that have existed anywhere from 40-70+ years in comics.

Nevertheless, I shall go forth and discuss some things of which I firmly believe would make for some very interesting and extremely engaging Hulk/Banner stories.

*I've always been interested in the Oldstrong Shadow People since their introduction in Greg Pak's epic PLANET HULK. However, even after all these years, we still know very little about the race. All we truly know about the Shadow People is this:

1) They're nomadic and traverse across the universe/multiverse, but have inhabited countless worlds as well

2) They're one of the oldest races in the universe

3) They're one of the most physically, spiritually/mystical and technologically advanced races in the universe

4) The Old Power, which they created long ago, is both cosmic, mystical and scientific in nature (I can state several instances/feats to prove it)

Personally, I would like to be given the chance to explore this unique race and their culture further. I wish see worlds ruled by the Shadow People, while also witness nomadic Shadow People who traverse the universe healing/restoring worlds with the Old Power. I also think it would be cool to see the elders of their race, the Oldstrong Masters, who would be portrayed as having such power & wisdom that they're comparable to the likes of Odin and other Skyfathers.

There has yet to be consequences for Skaar and Hiro-Kala's actions that involved Skaar utilizing the Old Power to drive Galactus mad with hunger which resulted in the destruction of several worlds ruled by the Shadow People and the subsequent poisoning of Galactus by Hiro-Kala that also destroyed a world. It would be interesting if the Shadow People abducted Skaar and Kate Waynesboro (who would be acting as surrogate mother to him), who are then put on trial for the crimes that resulted in not only in Sakaar's destruction but other worlds as well. This would cause Hulk/Banner to venture off into space, pursuing the Shadow People to one of their worlds where he would seek to protect Skaar & Kate while also facing off against one or all of the powerful Oldstrong Masters.

This is just one of the many premises/ideas/potential stories that I have fabricated. And it does fit into an incredibly MASSIVE story/saga. When I stated I had anywhere from 40-50+ story arches for Hulk/Banner planned (not counting two spin-off series), I wasn't joking.

Thoughts?

What the hell is Bane, Colossus and Thing doing here?! How are they supposed to compare to the likes of Hulk, Juggernaut and Hercules?
