Starjammers!!!

With Marvel using SHIELD and Guardians of the Galaxy in their next wave of film & tv productions, does anybody think Corsair and the Starjammers might be a good one to tackle next, whether as a movie, tv, comic prequel series, etc? Space pirates fighting against a mad intergalactic dictator...sounds fun to me!

@greenlantern8685: I wouldn't want the Starjammers in a world without the X-men. Corsair being Cyclops and Havoc's dad is pretty important to his character and since Havoc and Cyke aren't even brothers in the current X-men movies it doesn't seem likely.

i get the feeling after the days of future past movie the x-verse might be reworked, and anyway a flick about his time in space as a starjammer he would likely only tell his new pals about believing his whole family dead, wouldn't be x-men involvement until later on i think, by then who knows where the x-flicks will be, could also make it seperate from the movies as a comic or tv series

No, I don't think making a movie/tv show about the Starjammers would be a good idea. They're just so...80s.

@greenlantern8685: Don't think they have the weight to carry a movie, but have always felt they were underused in the comics. I would love to see someone do an absolutely kick arse mini series with the Starjammers. They're definitely deserving.

I think they'd work better in animation than live-action, with a catgirl and a lizard-man being on the team.

I agree. Something like Outlaw Star.

It would be about as successful as John Carter.

Good point. Something with a Saturday morning cartoon feel would work.

I've always had a soft spot for Starjammers but I'd rather see it more as "cosmic x-men" than "meet Corsair and these other random characters". I'd probably do:
