I feel like I did this wrong. The new set up is throwing me off. Hah.

The only reason I don't agree is that he still gets beaten. It would be huge problem if he was unbeatable which clearly isn't the case. No one else has the amount of abilities that he has. Why not just let one hero have said powers?

I don't know if any of you remember me (most likely not), but I am just popping in to say hi. It's been awhile. Could possibly be getting back into the forums. Can't wait!

@redhood21: Um, where'd u get that? Hal's friends with a lot of people on the League, I'd say his principle friends are Barry, Oliver, and Dinah, but he is also friends with Bruce and Clark.

Idk, in my opinion, Kyle just always seemed to be operating in Hal's shadow and he never really replaced Hal or even filled his shoes. And this is someone talking who got into comics AFTER Kyle had become The Green Lantern and replaced Hal. Hal just has more depth and is more well rounded of a character, not to mention that he's the only one with any semblance of a supporting cast outside of the Corps. Every GL villain and every conflict, whether its the Sinestro Corps War or Blackest Night, means more when Hal is on the front lines. Hal has a history with the villains of the GL Corps that brings so much more weight to the story when he's involved. Sinestro is the perfect example of that, given that he's been made out to be Hal's former friend and mentor when he was new to the Corps. And he literally exemplifies the "no fear" aspect of the GLs. Hal isn't afraid to question authority. In other words, he doesn't take crap....from anyone, not the Guardians, not even Batman, and almost everyone in the DCU is afraid of Batman.

Kyle, John, and Guy are all Green Lanterns, but Hal will always be THE Green Lantern. Well...not right now, but we all know he's gonna be back.

Geez, I remember when I was like you. Naive about who Hal is. Kyle is the best Green Lantern. Classic Hal is my favorite. Hal today is boring, wears his heart on his sleeve in any situation, and is an ungrateful douché according to the new Justice League.

Dude that's YOUR opinion. I've been reading comics for years now, and I've read both Hal and Kyle. Every time I read a story with Kyle he contributes absolutely NOTHING to the story. I've never seen him do anything important. Probably the biggest thing he's done is help Hal take down Sinestro at the end of Sinestro Corps War. Kyle is useless and boring, which sucks because he has potential to actually be a good character, but he just doesn't do anything important. Maybe in New Guardians they'll actually do something with his character.

What I like about Hal is that he isn't the type of personality that adapts easily to being restricted. In reality, he is not the ideal candidate to be a Green Lantern because he always bumps up against rules and regulations. He did in when he was in the Air Force and he still does it. That's the whole reason he's out of the Corps now. And he may be acting somewhat immature and show-offish in Justice League, but if you could all of a sudden make anything you imagined out of green light, you'd be acting a little cocky too. But at the same time, this last issue of Green Lantern showed tremendous growth in Hal as a character. And I can't wait to see what comes next for him.
